Hello good people of T6 world, today i stopped being a Vanless lurker. And I'm now the proud owner of a 2017 T6 Kombi Highline that i plan to sound proof, insulate then Carpet. I will then install a leisure battery with associated Electrics.. I'm also going to fit a folding bed like a Vanking or similar. I have been reading the many fantastic pages in this Forum, to give me pointers. After the bed, who knows, i will just go Camping-travelling and see what else i would like in the Van. I'm sure you guys won't mind if i ask questions along the way, and i thank you in advance of that!!

Good stuff, let me know how you get on with the insulation etc, I need to do this to mine as well. Pick mine up next Monday.

Are you getting yours shipped, or are you travelling to pick it up elsewhere? And i see there is a business in Seafield Road that does converts. I think they are called Roamin homes! Or something like that. Do you know anything about them? I think the Sound proofing and insulation looks quite straightforward, but the carpeting looks a nightmare.

Off down to Stockton on Tees for mine, just the right van, spec I wanted etc so happy to travel. Will get a pile of grief from Hamish and crew next time I am in but they told me I wouldn't find what I wanted. Think there are a few folk doing them - another guy in Nairn and one in Fort William, not sure how good they are. Guy from Nairn has a van advertised on ebay just now a LWB in bamboo green, looks like a good job he has done in the rear of it. I'm probably going to tackle everything myself, done few saggy land rover head linings in my time so cant be too bad compared to them, probably wait till the weather is a bit warmer as I cant get under cover.

Then safe travels and good luck with the Sound proofing etc... And if you do yours before i tackle mine. Let me know if it's a heid buster, then i will get someone else to do mine!! ☺
