Airbag fault

So I’ve installed a new head unit today and had to take side panel off and disconnect the passenger airbag switch. I also did this at the weekend except today it’s now showing an airbag fault on the dash.

Any ideas and is it a VCDS fix?

The head unit I installed is now also switching on when unlocking the van and will not power down when locking if I do not engage the ignition

Any ideas for this one?

Alpine Halo9 with Alpine fitting kit so pretty much plug and play.

From memory the air bag control switch connector ( is it the spring loaded release type ) if so can look connected but aren’t, disconnect and retry if you haven’t already

Cant help with the head unit but I had the exact same issue when I removed the side panel. Unfortunately, to clear the light off the dash is VCDS or other.

A £15 Carista should clear the code for the airbag.
