Aero twin wiper conversion. Anyone done it?

So I bent a wiper arm yesterday - went to look for a replacement and found the aero twin conversion kits.

I already have nice Bosch wiper blades so I’m struggling to understand what the conversion would do for me.

Can anyone give me any info and if it’s worth doing or not?

Thanks in advance.

I change my blades every year and found the Bosh Earo Twin to be the best that I have used. They give a good clean sweep with less of that blurred streaky vision that one often sees on the screen. I would hesitate to buy anything else unless reports that something is even better.

I’m not on about the blades specifically, but the conversion kits that are for sale. Ones that change the wiper arms too…

I already use the Bosch blades, but I don’t understand what the conversion kit gives.

I fitted aero twin (ap24 I think) recently when I replaced my wipers (well overdue, they are so much better I don’t know why I didn’t do it before!) and they came with the different fittings to suit the wiper arms in the box. I’m not sure what other kit would be needed

I noticed the paint on the wiper arms has faded though so they could do with some tlc at least

As he said above, the packet with each blade do come with things that might not be needed because the blade might fit multiple vehicle that have a different set up. It might sound a bit OT but things like this and bulbs are handled so efficiently by the young kids at Halfords. They do these things in a jiffy. I do not mind now and again paying for that because it is good for the young to have some income but if your tight just have them do it once and one observe and next time do it your self. When Halford started all this fitting malarkey years ago I felt insulted who need someone to do a simple thing like fit a bulb. Then however most bulbs where the same and one could almost climb into the engine bay there was so much space, but now one can hardly get ones fingers in never mind a hand and and even then its all contorted and the holding clips do not stay put and so on. Bought some bulbs for my daughters Duster and when paying they said automatically we can fit them I hesitated just a little and then gave in to it. A wee Lass not much older than a fetus well probably 18, knew exactly what she was doing, had manipulative techniques that could grace the Nassau Space agency and it was done. I never even had time to suggest they have to go in the right way, what a chauvinist I must be. I could see I could easily have dropped the bulb or put it in the wrong way and certainly scraped the back of my hand or contaminated the bulb but they are doing it many many times a day and trained with all the differences and not to do and it is good for their confidence and a bit of a wage I do not resent it.

Bosch do 2 kits for the T6 - one is a dedicated kit just for the T6 and the other one is a universal kit with adapters. The dedicated kit is A351S -this is a direct replacement with no adapters. (At least it is for my 6.1)

I've been using Aerotwins on my cars for donkeys years (a Mercedes, Hondas various, Toyotas various, an Audi and now the van) and TBH have never even heard of this 'conversion kit'.

That is why ! I did a Halford followed by an on line purchase at another time I wonder where all the bits and pieces had gone.
