Additional rear LED lights (want off not on)- Override time out with a switch?

Apologies for another thread but I couldn't find this specific question answered anywhere. If I fit additional roof LEDs to the current non LED wiring in the back, could I also fit an inline "kill" switch in the BCM neg feed if I didn't want the full 10 mins of dazzling light before timeout? I realise that this time out can be changed in the code but I'm looking for a occasional use of the off switch not a shortened time.

If I read correctly your "spec" that's exactly what I have now - a switch to turn off the lights while the BCM being master (for that 10 mins). So you would add your new lights+switch just in parallel (in place of) of "LOAD" in the pic.
