Adding Solar To Stering Bb1230

Hi Guys,

Looking for some advice.

I currently have a Sterling BB1230 charging a Crown leisure battery in my Euro 5 Bluemotion equiped T6.

Are there any obvious issues with adding solar to this setup, I have a rather nice MPPT controller, Original Tracer2215BN I would like to just add in.

This same MPPT controller that I used with a BB2250 B2B in my T4, ran faultlessly with no obvious issues.

Can just connect the Tracer directly to the leisure battery without causing issues with my BB1230 and leave that all alone? Am i right in thinking that the BB1230 would not look to charge a battery if the solar voltage was high enough to change the battery?

It won't give you any problems connected directly to the leisure battery through your Tracer. Each device will charge according to what it feels is appropriate at the time.
