Adblue

Hi all
I’m topping up my adblue for the first time
My t6 dash is saying I need min 2 gallons and max 3 gallons.
Reading the manual it’s says put in adblue about the minimum.
When I did the conversion from gallon to litre to see how much I needed it’s says 1 gallon equals just under 5 litres,so on that assumption I’d needed to put in ten litres of adblue.am I correct as this seems to be a hell of a lot of adblue to me

There are US gallons, and imperial gallons, and theyre more or less a litre apart.

Switch the units to litres just to be sure, but 10 litres isnt an unusual amount for a topcup from empty-ish.

T6 or T6.1? Believe 6.1 has a bigger adblue tank than the 6. Also, as above, are you talking US or imperial gallons?

Actually, I'm wrong, they're both 13 litre capacity - it's just that the 6.1 is much more frugal with adblue usage.

Only later 6.1 have bigger tank.

Change the units in the DIS to litres. Takes out all the guesswork.

Be careful about filling it right up. The sensor is ultrasonic and needs a bit of airspace at the top else it gets jolly upset.

Switch the display to litres just the be sure, then bung in 10L. You'll be sorted for thousands of miles.
