I’ve put up with my DAB signal since I’ve owned the van and now I’m at my wits end, finally the wife has agreed it’s time to get it sorted.

what have people done to better the signal?

Have a look here...

.

I removed all USB power adapters (the ones that plug into the cigarette lighter sockets) and any other after market power supply (e.g. dash cam) and the reception improved massively.
Some of these power supplies generate a lot of radio frequency noise, so I would remove them from the equation to start with.

By the way, DAB reception on our van (basic radio/media unit) is good.

To get you used to the DAB system I suggest you watch some old Norman collier sketches

Yep what they said, you can combat these with putting ferrite cores on I have on the van as came against this problem on our mk7 golf I put a nextbase dashcam in and totally lost DAB after rerouting and moving the rear camera and ferrite cores it’s all working fine

I’ll give it a bash this afternoon I’ve put the cores on my led fogs already so I’ll try unplugging the dash cam and see if it does the business....

The dash cams are shuts for it tbh the nextbase come with them but I found it’s not enough I put them where the plugs start and terminate also if you have big enough cores loop the wire round in them, both the golf and the van I have no issues with at all anymore regarding DAB
