65 profile to 60?

Need new tyres before i even get chance to get new alloys if i change my profile from 65 to 60 will it matter they are still riengorced tyres and can get a better brend for youre money at same time as looking a little better?

I have switched from 235/55/17 (factory) to 235/60/17, much better aesthetics imo, and no noticeable downside re acceleration/performance/handling but you get a bit more sidewall rubber for the pot-holes.
:D. Also load rating is higher so you can run a little less pressure if you want, with also helps with rough roads.

I should imagine upgrading tyre profile would benefit but i was going to downsize from 65 to 60 for bettr apperence front ones are nearly gone so would have 60 on front and 65 on back

Are you fitting a larger width tyre?

What's a tyre's profile?
This relates to the depth of the sidewall (the wall at the side of the tyre). The profile is expressed as a percentage of the tyre's width. Eg. Our 215/60R15 tyre has a profile or sidewall that is 60% of the 215mm (width). A low profile tyre is generally 50% or below, down to as little as 30% with ultra low profile tyres. Higher performance vehicles are usually fitted with tyres that have lower profiles.

While low profile tyres give you greater control and better handling on corners, they can give a slightly harder ride. Also, going to a lower profile on the same size wheels will alter your speedo.

whoops, I completely mis-read your thread.
Can you get the the load rating you need for your axel weights OK? Are speed ratings OK :):)?
Do you think smaller tyres will look better?, I know some of the older T's go for this look, just never really seen it on a T5/T6.

Width is staying the same, load rating is different from around 108 down to 98 and not sure on speed think I might renew as same tyre as seems pointless considering I will be getting new alloys near end of year once I've lined rear and finished my house
