Hi all,

Following up on my previous post;

20 inch wheels 235/50/R20 Tyres

I started typing this post asking about best tyres for ET18, but the wheels i have are actually ET38, contrary to my last post and to 3DSM website, I only can assume they used to do it.

My van has a strange size tyre currently on it 235 50r20 (strange to what i see on the forum), comfortable, but high riding and speedo out a lot. All are worn and need replacing. I'm looking at buying the same tyre model Pirelli scorpion Zero AS as its correctly rated and I've found a good deal.

I've spoke to Steve at CRS a few months ago about a new suspension setup to reduce the height and improve the ride, he kindly recommended tyres first and that because of the ET18 offset, i should keep narrow as possible 245 45 r20 or 245 40 r20. My thoughts are the 45 for comfort, although i know the speedo will still be out. Will 40 be too hard?

Now I've found out its ET38, i think im still good for the 245 45 r20? Its 9J all round, so I'm guessing 245 all round is best for that 9J?. The diagram below looks similar...

Wheels are all same - 3DSM 0.08 ET38 20inch.

I'm keen to replace the suspension with CRS, so i don't want to ruin my chances. I trust Steve's recommendation, super nice guy, just wanted to see if anyone any thoughts before i empty my wallet :). I've also sent him an email.

Thank you

I’d go with the 245/40 myself so as not to affect your speedo and gearing too much. Other members on the forum use this size tyre with no issues…. @Bigsidavies for example on his 4motion.

thanks, i was leaning to the 245/45 as their is lots of choice with the correct load rating. Seems to be thin on the ground for 40?

I’m on 245/45 front and 275/40 on the rear. I too have a 4Mo with staggered alloys. 8.5j front and 10j rear.
