2020 T6.1 Oil change parts (Engine code CXHA)

Hi everyone,

I'm going to perform an oil change on my van for piece of mind (in-between scheduled dealer services)
Has anyone done this yet on a T6.1 and if so do they know what part number the oil filter is? I've got an inkling it might be the same oil filter as used in a Mk7 Golf I also own since Europart are returning the same part number for both vehicles (501440619). I know they're not always right but thought i'd check.
Also, does anyone know if the sump plug is the same on all the vans or is it a specific one of the T6.1?

Thanks

I bought an oil filter for my T6.1 the code is 501440617. Can anyone tell me if this is correct before i start my oil change. I am only worried because I am not sure if the filter changed size for the T6.1 and this filter is for a T6.

I can't see that code in any of the exploded diagrams I have access to, may need to do a search for items that fit.
Is the filter underneath like the CXHA?

I picked up a genuine filter from VW today and a sump plug. The official part number on this filter is 03N 115 562 B on the basis my van is a T6.1 150bhp manual.
Seems like it the same filter and plug that fits in Golf’s etc.
I hope it’s the right one!

That part number (03N 115 562 B) matches as an equivalent to the Mann HU7020z that fits the CXHA engine.
£7.62 at CarParts4Less

Bargain, beats VW. I will buy one those next time, but for now I wanted to keep with official VW parts in case there were any issues.

Does it have a manufacturer printed on the box or the filter itself? Might be a Mann or Mahle filter in a VW box.
Mahle is a OX787D for the CXHA.
Bosch is P7157, £5.15 on Amazon.

Yes, you get to it from underneath. Any of the car parts sites when you put in the vehicle details refer to T6. Never T6.1.

This is what is printed on the OEM filter

It’s a Hengst filter (E340H D247) . I’ve seen Mahle in those boxes too.
Hengst’s cross reference shows the same filter for the CXHC engine too.
£7.04 on ebay.

Note to add, the filter in the picture above is not an equivalent to the 03N115562, the 03L115562 is 101mm high and has a 21mm hole where the 03N115562 is 103mm long with a 27mm hole, very similar filter but bigger dimensions.
just noting that vw brown boxes can contain filters from multiple manufacturers, there's no vw ‘own brand’ that is better than any of the others.

Please, can anyone say for sure that this filter is correct for my T6.1 CXHC T28 1968cc It is very confusing with different manufacturers codes. Thanks in advance!

What did it say on the box? i.e. Bosch part number
Doesn't matter, last 4 numbers 7157 cross references with VW 03N 115 466 & 03N 115 562 so that fits CXEC, CXFA, CXGD, CXHA, CXHC, DMZA, DNAA, DNAB and DNAC motors.
