2019 T6 Shuttle rear HVAC not working

Hi guys, first post on here, so bear with me!

I’ve got a 2019 T6 Shuttle, but the rear blowers have never worked. To my shame, I only noticed this some time after buying the van (used).

The front works perfectly well, although it seems to push out warm air unless on the very coldest setting. It’s all manual controls, no climate control or anything. When I turn on the ignition, I can hear a clicking in the back of the van, coming from the rear HVAC unit. It stops after a few seconds, apart from recent days when it’s been really hot and it’s gone on for a few minutes. My guess here is that the temperature control valve is hitting its limit(?). Either way, no combination of buttons pressed and switches turned will get air to come out of the rear vents.

I took it into my local garage and they took the headliner out and checked the servos etc, but couldn’t solve it They also fitted a replacement control unit for the back and that didn’t fix it. I’ve bought a Carista unit a scanned, which threw up code 02256 Static Current Upper Limit Exceeded, though reading through over threads on here and comparing with the fault count suggests that’s more likely to do with the tow bar elecs. So nothing obvious thrown up there and I’m out of ideas.

Has anyone seen this before, or got any ideas on how to track down the problem please? All help very gratefully received. Thanks!

If it's the fan unit over the rear wheel arch that's the problem I've got a brand new one taken out of my '24 plate van ... Near York.
