2019 T6 Heated front windscreen retro fit.

What would be needed to upgrade a non-heated front wind screen to a heated one??

It’s not heated from the factory, and I’ve look at past threads about broken ribbons etc, but can’t find anything about the hardware needed.

Would it be just a case of installing a dash switch, and a bit of wire from the battery?? ( yeah, I know it would be a bit more than just a wire from the battery )

The OEM HS takes two 40A fuses from the engine bay fuse box

And a remote switch on the dash... Think it's visbthe BCM, Ur HVAC, or separate relay?

For the work involved vs the amount of times you'll need it I wouldn't bother.

That’s what I was thinking initially, but obviously, if I could make it more factory fitting like, it would be nicer.

The diagrams above showed the OEM setup.

The screen has two elements, which are feed by two 30A fuses.

These are switched via a relay.

That is switch by the BCM

The BCM had the dash panel switch with LEDs.

So a simple setup...

Looks loke you need:

The dash panel button, with connector and wires to the BCM.

The main relay, for switching the 60A.

The main power feeds and lungs took the screen.

Normally it takes under an hour.

Go to the downloads h and click the download icon at the top right.

The screen is fed from between 40 and fuses from the engine bay fuse box.

Connected via controller which will have the screen running for about 30 minutes.

Normally done in seconds but sometimes takes a few minutes to update, if you see the VIP member badge next to your name (which you have) then it’s done
