Reduced to £28,750 (no vat). I know this looks a lot of money but this is a T6 Factory Kombi in pure grey. I have not seen another advertised for a long time- none on Van Trader for last month. Appreciate feedback ad it’s had a lot of views …I know I should have ‘shined’ up the wheels/ Tyres more! Cheers Rob

Please don’t take this as criticism!!Appreciate it’s had some lovely work done to interior but maybes it’s the spec no air con mfsw etc that’s putting people off at that price!
For comparison I sold mine last year factory kombi same year same engine spec but a highline with just shy of 80,000 miles full service history in really good nick for £21,000 I probs could of got a bit more but sold to a friend for hassle free sale but did have a lot of interest.
The 3 singles in the back is a great selling point! If you hold on someone might pay close to your asking price but for me it’s a little overpriced.
Is it pure grey from factory?
Really wish you well in your sale
My old van for comparison

Hi Sackmycook/ Chippie1
Thank you for your feedback- it’s good to get a different viewpoint. It is Pure Grey from factory and a Startline. They only did Pure Grey as an option in Startline for T5.1 (my previous van) and T6 hence why it is rare as you would need to add your spec from new so most went for indium grey (highline) instead. When I went to shows before lockdown, I would only see 1 maybe 2 pure grey vans. When T6.1 came out, they started offering it as an option in highline- which is why the colour is more popular/more widely seen and has more toys.

Pricewise: when I sold my 5.1 in pure grey (100,000 miles) Kombi conversion, it was 15% above the recommended price and sold in 12 hours. The cheapest 2018 factory Kombi in grey (indium) on van trader at present is just shy of £25,000 with 118,000 miles- 15% higher than this is £28,750 which is why I have advertised at this price. There are no pure grey factory kombi’s on van trader this week. The cheapest pure grey factory Kombi at present is 2020 (T6.1) which is £40k plus vat.

If people are interested, I can sell without the Exploria bed for £28,000

Thanks again for feedback Rob

Not many going to spend that money for a van with no aircon. It is base spec as well!
Hi rover220 thanks for your input. I appreciate it hasn’t got aircon- I’ve had 4 vans over 23 years (3 x transporters) and none have had aircon.

I think it is a question of top priority when buying a van. Mine would be colour followed by power (must be 150 or more), followed by manual (still old school I’m afraid).

If someone wants a T6 factory Kombi in pure grey (only offered as base spec) then this is the only one advertised that I can see at the moment.

Thanks again for replying and I would add that this is my asking price…cheers Rob

Weekend bump- now reduced to £27,995. Still the only Pure Grey Factory Kombi (2017-2019) advertised national on van trader. Not another advertised nationally since this advert went live- thanks for watching Rob

Still the only Pure Grey Startline with no air con too.

It’s a nice looking van I have to say, albeit niche in colour and spec, so I agree that the price does seem a touch on the high side. Happy for you to prove us wrong though.

Be mindful of posting your postcode when including Autotrader links btw.

Out of curiosity, how much would you think it was worth it if it was black and not pure grey?

Colour was towards the bottom of my list when I was prioritising 'must haves' when buying mine.

By the way, it;'s a lovely looking van

Hi CooseVW

Thank you for your compliment. Black Kombi T6 are less rare (and would be colour choice no 2) as it was offered in high line spec. There are 6 2018 advertised which range from £24- £30k.

The difference is there are over 20 advertised (2017-2019) and still no pure grey (with or without aircon 😀).. just saying!

Did you go for black?

Cheers Rob

There’s more in other colours as they are are more popular colours. Yes, you may be correct in that yours is more rare, although it’s not rare because they were a limited edition or something, but because less people actually wanted the colour. It then stands to reason that less people are now likely to want that colour still.

You might, and I genuinely hope you do, find that one person who just must have this colour and are prepared to pay 15% premium over a higher spec’ed Highline in Indium Grey. Personally, I don’t see that happening, despite wanting it to for your sake.

My T6 is in Chestnut Brown, as you might have guessed. Are there less of that colour out there? No doubt. Did I set out for that colour? Sure did. Did I pay a premium for a rarer colour? Nope. Did I buy it for the added spec it has? Definitely.

I notice the autotrader ad has gone, hpefully you've sold it 🤞

For comparison, I just paid £32K for a 68 plate, black, highline, 204PS, DSG, 31K miles, independant FSH, factory kombi, factory heated twin captains seats, passenger swivel, A/C, Factory LED's lights all round, comfort dash, carpeted cab floor, discover media HU, westfalia towbar and it had a slide pod set up in the back. This was from a dealer and came with 6 months warranty.

Personally, the spec was my priority and I'd have still bought the van if it was most other colours... To be honest, I didn;t really want a black one as they are a big old thing to keep looking clean!

When I bought Jolene it was the highline spec that hooked me. Partial history and possibly £3k too much... just wanted to get started. I'd have had any colour as was contemplating getting whatever van I bought wrapped. Vans have dropped in price over the past year and upsetting I've seen nicer vans/converted van's with FSH approaching what I paid for mine (basic panel van when bought)... i hope someone buys yours for what you're asking but it'll be a winter sale I'd have thought (AC)

Hi Chestnut brown

Thank you for your input. As I have tried to explain in this thread, a T6 pure Grey Kombi was only available in startline spec, so you really wanted to have this colour as you had to pay extra for some of the highline ,standard’ spec… therefore it was quite an exclusive pure grey club.

Now they do T6.1 pure grey in highline, it is very popular- Leighton vans are a convert to this- good company with great attitude to the transporter scene.

FYI- there are 2 brown T6 (2017-2019) advertised this week- 2 more than pure grey. One at £22k and the other at £29k (108k miles). I am being factual in this post re history of pure grey not trying to provoke. Cheers Rob

Neither am I, or anyone else on here. I totally understand what you are suggesting, but it is you that doesn’t seem to get what we’re saying.

I was just trying to point out that colours are subject and I genuinely don’t feel many will see a Startline with a 15% price hike over a Highline being acceptable, just because it’s Pure Grey.

I was using my Chestnut Brown as an example of a marmite colour (almost literally), where not everyone will like it, even if it is less common.

What’s the mileage on your van btw? Have looked but can’t see it listed. Apologies if I have missed that.
