19's or 20's for a T32

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any good suggestions for places to buy 19s or 20s for a t32? I seem to be struggling to find much with adequate load rating... I'm planning to lower the van on either 30mm sportlines or 40mm h&r, so not very low
(also has anyone with aftermarket springs/coilovers had any warranty issues that vw have tried to swerve as a result?)
The whole offset & tire size headache seems tricky too....
Sorry for being so needy!

Hi matey, don't go with 20's would be my advice! Having had a lowered t5 on 20s, it was a nightmare and VW only recommend up to 18 I think. Load rating should be specified on the wheel somewhere. The general rule for most transporters is 860kg or there a outs for each wheel. The T32 T6 is 3200kg in total weight.

The above should explain a bit more and rimstyle.com is a good place to look as a starter for ten.

We can supply wheel tyre/combos. The T32 makes it trickier, but there plenty of options out there. You are not lowering a huge amount, so as long as you get the offset right, you shouldn't have too many issues.

You may have read the other thread, but we have just fitted a 265/40 20 104 on a 9x20 ET40, lowered it 10mm off the max on bilstein, and have no rubbing whatsoever - So I would consider this the deal size and offset.

Plenty of options on the 18", if you didn't want to go down the 20" route - Some people find the ride too hard on 20's with just springs.

Vw now sell 19" wheels in the accessories brochure and say they need 255/55/19 tyres

Hi Carl, I've not seen this. Have you got a link? Vv finally accepting bigger wheels and getting in on the act :-)

After reading this thread and the sticky I said to my wife we might be restricted on wheels we can put on our t32, not a problem, but she asked are we restricted because of the weight of the van or because of the potential to carry a heavier load?

Quite happy to go with 18s, would any of the wheels in the vw brochure of temptation be ok?

All the sportline ones are fine for t32
Springfield and palmerstons not suitable ,nor the dakars

@BognorMotors what wheels did you fit in the end and do have any pictures?

I've just gone from 8J 18's to 8.5J 20's with 275/40 ET45 boots, lowed 50mm on H&R springs and no rubbing and a much improved ride comfort. Still loads of room in the arches too - will be going to Bilsteins soon me thinks.
