I am looking for a single 19" steel wheel to use for my spare..

I'm not bothered about what tyre is fitted as i will be replacing it to match my 19" alloy set up

I think it just needs to be 120 PCD

As in a banded 19" steel? Because there isn't any other steel wheels available in 19", only 18"

Surely the banded 19" wheel must have started life as a 19" wheel before being banded, maybe only as a space saver, but still 19"? Doesn't banding only change the width of the wheel?

I am not sure on this one, but i thought you could get a 19" range rover steel spare which will fit the T6...

You can get a 19" space saver yes, but you are obviously not going to be putting the tyre on a space saver to match your other 19s.

What I did was to use a 17" spare wheel. The overall size of a a 17" with a larger profile is around the same rolling radius of your 19s if they are on low profiles.
If not, it's better than not having a spare at all.

Other than that its buying an 18" wheel and fitting a tyre that equates to the same radius as your 19, but the 18" steels are harder to find as a single wheel.

Thanks @Tourershine

There's only a small 2.5mm circumference difference showing up between 17's and 19's using the 'willtheyfit' app, so maybe ok to limp on to the nearest garage... unless i'm in the outer hebrides...

Maybe it won't matter, but i'm on the 4M so didn't want to take a chance with the 4WD system and would rather have a like for like swap available...

2.5mm is nothing, even with 4WD. They’re designed to cope with the likes of cornering where the outside wheel travels further than the inside.
I’d say the 17 is well within tolerance and less likely to be targeted by thieves.

If you want like for like, you need another 19" alloy the same as the ones you are running, or buy a 19" RR spacesaver off eBay, and send it to someone like Duchy and ask them to widen it to the same widths as your alloys, but that seems a total waste of a good wheel to me, not to mention a lot of hassle.

The simple fact is there are no steel wheels available anywhere in 19" 5x120 that aren't banded. I know because i've spent hours looking for a different style to mine.

Thanks @Tourershine and @Wills

I think as you suggest I will struggle finding a 19" steel... and now i'm a little more confident that a best match 17" wheel will work ok, afterall 2.5mm difference in overall rolling circumference shouldn't be an issue if it's only for limping to a garage.... which i wasn't too sure about with 4M.

New and worn tyres of the same size will have a far greater difference in circumference than 2.5mm. SO would you not put a spare on if it had an new tyre fitted and the others were quite worn? My bet is you wouldn't even think twice.

Your right @Skyliner33 .... Thanks for putting it into perspective..

I guess i should be more worried about it getting nicked from reading some of the posts on here.
