Hi everyone,

I’ve decided to sell my Slidepod as it’s currently just taking up space in the garage. It came with my van when I bought it, and while I personally haven't used it, it must have been used by the previous owner.

I believe it’s a Gen 2 model and I’ve recently given it a bit of a refresh, including:
  • New black edging
  • New fresh water tank (plus a spare included)
  • New non-return valve and stainless steel dip tube
It’s the full-spec version: shower attachment, side cutlery stash, LED strip lights, table, and a memory foam mattress. All fittings are included.

Condition: Everything works perfectly. There are some light scratches on the bed surface (hidden by the mattress) and a small crack in the top LED light housing, but nothing that affects use.

Price: ** Redcuced ** £1600 Collection only, as it's a two-person lift, but I’m more than happy to help you bolt it into your van when you arrive!

Location: Middlesbrough. Although I'm willing to travel to meet someone. I'd be prepared to go an hour or so in any direction to meet you half way.

I'll also add that I'm open to reasonable offers. Really wanting this garage space back!

It is! Whoever buys it will be cashing in on my desperation for garage space. 2 kids come with too many bikes and scooters for a single garage/ workshop 🤣

Hi. I've just got a T6 & need the back converting, this looks perfect for me. I've got limited knowledge of Slidepods, are they crash tested like a normal rock & roll bed? Are you able to fit seat belts so it can be used as a seat whilst travelling?
Im very interested in this

Hi @Gonzo74,

No, you cannot sit on this whilst the vehicle is moving.

The slidepod is designed to be fitted behind the seats in a Kombi van, then when you want to camp, you set it up as follows:
  1. Fold the Kombi Seats: Pull the release straps on your rear Kombi seats and fold them flat. The Slidepod system is designed so you do not need to remove these seats.
  2. Pull Out the Bed Support: From the rear of the van (with the tailgate open), pull the handle on the Slidepod to extend the bed support frame over the folded seats.
  3. Bridge the Gap: Some models include a small flap or "bed board" that folds down to fill the gap between the pod unit and the folded seats.
  4. Unfold the Mattress: Slide or unfold the memory foam mattress sections over the flattened seats and the pod's rear platform
It's a really versatile set-up as when it's in, you've got a 'camper van' yet you can remove it and you've got a proper van back.

Take a look at their website. The one on that page is the newest model and I think mine is a 2nd generation one (I think they are at gen 4 now?).

To buy the same spec one brand new is £4500 so someone can grab a bargain here!

Ah ok, sorry I was unsure as to what a slide pod was.
I was hoping it would be a seat/bed similar to a rock & roll bed but with a slide out kitchen unit.
Sounds like it's not for me as there's currently no seats in the back of my van at all, it's just an empty panel van.
Thanks for the info though, its all a huge learning curve for me :)

Bump again. I'm prepared to listen to offers as I'm getting sick of the 'is it available' posts on Facebook 🤦‍♂️
