    Burst egr pipes

help appreciated please. CXGB engine, ca.55k miles. Had rear egr pipe replaced under warranty 2 months ago (hole in it) and now front one has completely come away from its flange - see pic. Sadly warranty expired a month and a half ago! What causes these to go? Material Fatigue? Bursting under...

    New turbo calibration

I would say - yes. At least it's easy to blank the EGR pipe in front of engine.

    EGR and Adblue delete

Hi, interested whether there were any issues with the Adblue pipes, injector or sensors when you had it reconnected - I appreciate it was only sitting there unused for a couple of months. Also, where you say you had the EGR cooler and pipes replaced, did that include the EGR valve as well...

    CFCA EGR valve and cooler

I've just replaced the EGR value and cooler on a 2016 180hp T6 and found the below link very useful https://www.t6forum.com/threads/guide-replacing-egr-cooler-on-a-180ps-engine.15713/ Now there's one or two small things that might assist anyone else thinking of doing the same. I tried my best...

Bi tdi t6 2017 coolant leak egr pipe

I'd very much doubt that's a pipe... You may need to authorize the £500 diagnostic fee for them to investigate. Then when The faulty parts are fixed the £500 would be absorbed by the warranty claim. Or take it to a different garage for a second option. And.... For that price you can get a...

EGR trouble - thinking about replacing whole cooler+valve unit and pipes

I am not a mechanic and even less an expert of VW EGR, so take my words with a grain of salt, but reading this Forum, many would replace the engine intake manifold too. Seems it made of cheap plastic, it gets all corroded with the EGS fumes, and there even also some small "valves" plastic parts...

    Fault codes P023800 p023600

...I’ve had issues with the coil light coming on, engine light etc. so far I’ve had DPF done and exhaust flush. A new intercooler fitted, EGR pipe, EGR valve fitted. Engine runs better and not as hot but coil light and same faults back p023600 and p023800. Also p200800 now too. Can anyone...

    Strong smell of fumes

More than likely a split EGR pipe. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/egr-flexi-pipe-exhaust-fumes-in-cab-hissing-from-engine-bay.8076/post-370740

Can a charge cooler leak cause hydrolock and engine destruction?

We are having the same issues at the moment on a T6 150. EGR cooler changed last week, loosing coolant still but van seems to be running okay however fuel economy isn't great. Did you get sorted?

    (Another) Mysterious Coolant Loss

So this was just the plastic connector loosing from a pipe. Anyway replaced EGR - didn’t loose ‘much’ anymore and clearly no exhaust in the expansion tank anymore BUT the big bit is that after 1800km there has been still a coolant loss of around 400ml. So one wonder WTF is it?

Acidic smell in cabin when starting from cold

...please. Over the last week I've noticed an acidic smell in the cab when the engine is started from cold first thing in the morning. Smell goes away after 10 minutes or so when driving. I had the rear EGR pipe replaced last year and the new one looks ok with no leaks. Any ideas? Thanks, Rich.

Diesel smell in cab and hissing sound when idle.

Nope, you're looking at the front pipe, it's the rear pipe hidden away at the back of the engine that's normally the culprit.

EGR replacement DIY VW T6 2.0 CXGB engine mono turbo

If anyone comes across this in future… some tips: Yes, take starter motor off, makes taking the bottom bolt under cooler off much easier from underneath. Taking starter out isn’t too difficult - disconnect battery first! Also take coolant bottle and windscreen washer tube out and fuel filter...
