...I have a CTEK250se DC-DC charger which uses the alternator to charge the leisure battery while driving once after also topping up the starterbattery?
Now I get that plugging in via EHU on camp site or driveway etc is going to power the van and charge the leisure battery.
And by fitting a...
The starter blocked code comes when the engine computer can't see the engine turning over...(Rpm crank signal)
I had the same code when I had a loose starter motor battery cable previously..
So you need to check if the engine really is ceased or if it's just a starter motor problem.
The red wire is feeding a leisure battery with a Victron Orion.
I am confident that it's not draining the starterbattery. (I had this issue before fitting the leisure battery).
I can see from the Victron monitoring that the starterbattery never charges above about 12.2V which equates to...
Yes you need a leisure battery to effectively run a diesel heater..
As above it will run off the starter but 100% you will kill the starterbattery and then up with a flat battery....
Unless that is you planning on doing a 2-hour drive every single day.
Also see here is you have a leisure battery...

Quite possible, the time of alarm, starterbattery shows in shunt at 14.9v I have now set a high voltage alarm in the shunt at 15v for both starter and leisure batteries and will see if they tally up.
how old is the battery ?
does it go flat often?
is there anything connected to the battery NEG terminal?
how often is the van driven - for how long?
post a pic or two of the starterbattery
Hi guys,
When removing seats to run Dc-DC wiring, do I need to disconnect the starterbattery first? T6.1.
I know there are seatbelt and airbag connectors etc under the seats…
...or having hazard lights on etc etc .
so the starter chargers works best option for me.
yes the Energy management system keeps the starterbattery around 80% to allow headroom for the regen braking.
but,
to be honest they have fitted a crappy battery anyway.
those EFB+ batterys are...
...to their EHU.
She messaged me the other day to say the central locking wasn't working and she couldn't get in, so I assumed flat 12v starterbattery, so bought her a Noco GB40 to get it started and a Noco Genius 5 to charge it and keep it conditioned so this wouldn't happen again.
We...
what the big fat RED POS for ~?
Inverter? audio amp? DC_DC charger for leisure battery?
is it possible that your aftermarket stuff may be using power, and causing a low starterbattery?
Not sure what the battery monitoring cable would be is that the neutral shunt at the starterbattery neutral terminal that keeps the BCM informed of battery state to cut stop start from working when the battery isn't strong enough to perform the job reliably?
Also what battery type and Ah rating?
As the title, I am trying to find out the state of health of my starterbattery. However When I go into 19 - CAN Gateway the "Meas. Blocks -08" button is greyed out.
So I'm stuck as to what I'm doing wrong and why I cant select it. (Bonnet is open of that makes a difference).
