Osram has these bulbs listed as street legal led replacements. Looking at product details of H4’s they state this:
Looking at www.osram.com/nb-led it does not list UK as having approval
I bit the bullet and got them from HazzyDayz mid December, the guys are superb, I don’t know why I waited so long, they’re night n day with the h4’s and take 5 years off the van
I’ve swapped the lights and picked up a Carista. When the lights are turned on dipped this is what is on in the first image and then on full beam the second image. The dip switches off. I’ve had a look on the Carista app and I cannot see an option to turn on dipped with full beam. The LEDs at...
Hi all,
I am looking for some help with coding out the bad bulb warning on my T5.1. I have had the Philips H4 and W5LEDs installed for a little while. When turning them on I get the land diagnostic warning light on the dash.
In VCDS I have modified Bit 16
Lamp Diagnostics for Low Beam active...
THQ should be bringing out their full LED lamp units for T6 soon (unless they already did and I missed it). I’d go for those looking at the video of them, just my 2p worth.
Do you have experience of comparing my H4 headlights to your H7 ones and that would be a no so why get so self righteous?
To avoid any further keyboard bloodshed just imagine that my led lamp laden H4 are brighter than your H7 version and leave it at that otherwise we just sound like angry old...
Lots of detail in the following thread - H4 to H7 Upgrade
H7s are a lot better than H4 on dipped and main beam for the reasons mentioned by Dubber36. In my opinion they are perfectly acceptable and that’s in comparison to the all singing and dancing twin LED on my Passat. They are also much...
I'm presuming that you have H4 headlights?
If so, HIDs won't work. The halogen bulb has two filaments. One for dipped and one for main beam. Each one focused on a different part of the reflector. HIDs are a single light source that will give you essentially main beam regardless of which beam...
Prepared it for All-in major service and MOT next week. Today I have:
Removed Canteras
Checked brake pads/disks
Fitted Claytons
Over the weekend I have still got to:
Remove adjuster deletes on rear
Refit rear adjusters and take up spring slack
Possibly remove H4LEDs and refit candles
It’s just the drivers side I have. I ordered fog lights and that arrived. So I’m not entirely sure what unit it is. And it’s no use to me.
I’m replacing my H4’s with THQ V3’s so will have the H4’s and also the original T6 rear lights spare if anyone is looking for any.
No, it doesn't.
Because the T6.1 (the one with the the H7 and H15 combo), does not keep the DRL active when either the low or high beam are active.
So the combinations that you have are:
1=Side/park lights= H15 DRL filament at half voltage, all the rest OFF.
2=DRL =H15 DRL filament at full...
Generally speaking, T6 headlights are referred to by their (dipped) bulb type, so you’ll hear talk of the standard three options as “H4”, “H7” and “LED headlights”.
T6.1 headlights come in either H7+H15 or LED options, so people often just refer to the halogen H7+H15 as “T6.1 headlights” and...
I’m in the same boat, really need to upgrade the headlights. Just fitted some better H4 bulbs to go on with for now ( Phillips race bulbs). Not tried in the dark yet but not expecting massive improvement.
I may wait for the THQ led’s to become available to buy. Does anyone know if these new...
Hi, I have recently sold my 56' plate shuttle and bought a T6. I have been concerned about all the concern about poor T6 headlights. I have found that when compared to a T5 with 17 year old UV damaged headlights they are much better. We do a lot of rural night driving in winter. The T5 lights...
