I'm 5 years late but I've had an almost identical setup fitted (40mm drop instead) and couldn't be happier!

Just for a minute I thought you'd proped up a 19" wheel for comparison.......

I tried mine on when I first got them just to see. They were way too big. I changed them for 255-45-19's and sold the big tyres for £150.

Thanks Ben. I realise the shocks probably need looking at, I was just trying to do a quick intermediate step so it can go for an MoT as the front tyres won't pass. Think I'll just stick the same size tyres back on the fronts and then get the suspension looked at next month.

I reckon it’s all about whether you go low profile or have larger aspect ratio. 55 is more pliable on a 103 rating than say, a 40 on 103. 109 rating must be really hard ! I might try 255’s with 45 aspect ratio, on the 19’s, 104 rating. If they are crap compared to the 17’s, I’ll sell the lot...
