you don't have to use MC4`s
i use Anderson SB50`s for power connections, and MC4`s for solar connection. . .
that way they are "keyed" and can never be incorrectly plugged in.
MC4s are a very good waterproof connection, . . but can be tricky to undo, - thats why they sell a TOOL to help...
I’m fitting my big 360w rigid victron solar panel on to my pop top today.
I will be drilling and bolting the front 2 feet through my pop top.
I’m posting howI’m getting on with my upgrade in a separate thread
Upgrading to lithium and fitting a rigid solar panel on a pop top is name of thread
Waisting your time with that mini panel imo.
Send it back and get a proper charger.
If you want a dash panel, you need a 50w panel with a dedicated solar controller...... And then some sun....
They don't work when it's cloudy...
i used this 50w one, , and plugged into dash 12v socket.

10-20% of the battery size is the recommendation.
70Ah AGM starter - 7A-14A charger
230Ah Lithium LB - 23A-46A charger.
so i would go for a charger in the Range of 15A to 30A
Victron & NOCO are great chargers, but Victron is Prefered over NOCO.
as the NOCO chargers can throw a fault when...
Hi Dellmassive,
Sorry to revive this old post,
but I have a little concern about this kind of application i.e. Foldable panel + PWM charge controller.
The charge controller, with a 12V nominal panel in the full sun, will be throwing out like 18V square pulses (at no load). Connected to a pure...
also look at adding in a battery monitor:

Hi all,
I am having a very similar issue to the one described above. I bought my ctek 4 years ago and installed it under the hood of my FJ. It is working with two 70Ah AGMs from Costco and a 105 watt solar panel. I first became aware of an issue a couple of years ago when after a long drive my...
I bought the bolts from a Spalding Fasteners, M10 I think, the VHB tape off Amazon and the twin wall from tool station but it was sent from Clear Amber. The panel is an 80w from Lensun Solar -
