    Best 18" tyres???

Hi there. it will be an everyday van getting me to and from work mainly. Not really much load in the back either. I live and drive around country roads quite a lot and in winter some of them are quite difficult to tackle unless winter tyres are fitted. Not heard of any of those tyres above...

Danny why did you not go with 235/60/18 as doesn’t appear to be much more Speedo error than the 55s?

I've got a 20mm drop with 25mm spacers all round with 235/60/17's (same radius as 235/55/18's), all seems to work well on mine, never rubbed yet. But I think I'll go the 18" route, because well...., they just look better:thumbsup::thumbsup: imo.

    Devonport tyre pressure?

This is a huge down side of running narrower tyres.; and why people often comment on much better the ride characteristics are when they swop from 215/60/17 to 235/55/17 or better still 235/60/17. And also thats why VW fit their premium T6's with 235/55/17 as standard or 255/45/18's as options...

    Devonport tyre pressure?

Thanks, I will be running mostly empty and usually <200kg load. (I will be going 235 next time - but that won't be for a while). The tyres currently feel like they have as much 'give' as if they were filled with concrete!!...

    Tyre Loading - 109 rating

There is a 235/60/17 Mich Agilis CC available; slightly larger tyre, but for a much better fit in the wheel arches. The only down side is the load capacity is very high, so it may be a tad hard riding; but they may not matter. We've got these tyres on 2 of our vans, and they are superb. In terms...

    All-Season Tyre recommendations

Absolutely zero issues, our speedo still reads fractional above actual speed, so again no issues. If you are very sensitive you will just a feel a slight alteration in gearing, but after a few drives it is forgotten I've got a set of VW Amarok wheels 18" in the shed, so when its time for me to...

    Amarok 18” 7.5J Steelie - Tyre Sizes

They will fit but they wont work... They will go on the studs but apart from the obvious rubbing on lock, when the suspension is compressed and especially when compressed and on lock, you will damage components within the arch. The maximum you can use without any compromise using an 18 is...

    Tyre Loading - 109 rating

Please let us all know how you get on with them, Maybe, After a few hundred miles; After a few thousand miles; After 20k miles etc . Look forward to the reviews  I think these could be the perfect T6 tyre (after my beloved Nokian weatherproofs SUV:whistle: ;)), just needs a few...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

Cooper did a 235/60/17; slightly larger rolling radius/diameter but it had a higher load rating. This tyre has been discontinued You may need to mover to 235/55/18 , with 18" wheels, if you want to go down this route.

30mm Spacers All Round On Standard Suspension

I don't recall any posts relating to negative aspects of wheel spacers. Many people who change their wheels, get wheels with more off-set (less ET), so they achieve the same thing in another way. I use my wheel spacers with All-Season tyres; and have previously used them with AT, all good no...

    Sold Amarok Manaus Wheels

To everyone asking to split the wheels, I say don’t be so lazy. There’s a good market on eBay and marketplace for 255-60-18 tyres. They fit loads of vehicles, L200, Navara, Q7, Amarok to name a few. I really like these Manaus wheels and have just fitted a set to my T6 Caravelle. My costings...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

WOW they are big tyres. I ran GG 255/55/18 on my T5, and I thought they were too big in terms of gearing and I had 255hp (Hybrid turbo etc etc etc ) The GG 235/55/18 are the maximum up-gearing I would personally consider, even with a 204BiTDI and carry light loads But they do look good......:)...

AT 235/55/18 - does the extra sidewall cause issues?

Hi I don't run 235/55/18 but I do run 235/60/17 the same rolling radius. When my current tyres are warn out (Nokian weatherproofs), I'm fitting some 18" Amarok alloys with 235/55/18's (same tyres) So having done 35k miles with 3% oversized tyres with a 204 BiTDI DSG 4mo., I have to say that yes...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

I understand your logic with 60 profiles, but it's a balance between trying to bulk out the wheel inside the huge arch and the wheels looking like you've just took them off a Range Rover and stuck them on a T6, which is never a great look. Most of the Swamper Transporters will run 55s or...

    Best Bang For Buck?

Arguably 18" offers the most; 235/55/18 imo perfect you can go 19" with Michelin Cross-climate SUV 235/50/19, and you get the benefit of real looker I'm at 235/60/17 Nokian Weatherproof SUV, which means I can hit big potholes at 70mph, and just sail through them; and some people argue in winter...
