...pauly and the other guys who have liked my introduction post. I own a 2018 mk 4 caddy highline and a 2004 vw t5 1.9. I would love a caddy style mfsw fitting to the t5.
And then if possible cruise installed once I have the correct bcm .
Also a colour mfd screen also fitted to the cluster,

Hi Romar. This is exactly what I want to do to my van ie basic MFSW leaving CC and MFD on stalks on my T6. Can you confirm which wires you ended up adding and what coding you did in the end? Tks!
It can be done.
I’ve fitted a MFSW to my startline and activated CC.
You need to add a few wires in.
Search MFSW retro fit or CCS retro fit.
There’s a few threads on how to do this.
Hi Dellmassive,
The old wheel was plain but the mfsw buttons were screwed to the cowl (static) there was a push button for horn. wired into MFSW and had hor and I think all functions speed control/distance control as well as radio etc. However these have now died and I cannot find blown fuse...
Just to pick a couple .
1- was the old wheel just plain plastic? And you swapped for a MFSW? .... If so you need a LIN bus wire and power to be added.
4- the window pinch protection needs resetting..... Close and hold button for 3, then fully open hold button for 3, repeat.
...not T12/8.
T14 (black) = 5Q0972726
Power:
T14/1 = positive for the heating
T14/8 = negative for heating
Signals:
T14/2 = +15 contact for MFSW from T16/4
T14/4 = GND for MFSW from T16/1
T14/14 = LIN for MFSW from T16/3
T14/7 = Cruise from T16/2
T4 (yellow) = 4H0972133
T4/1 = airbag from...
Might be a daft question but if you get a van that doesn’t have a MFSW can you buy one and the electrics etc are behind the old one to install the new one and get it all to work?
Kev used his existing T6 buttons so was just a swap of the wheel itself.
If you were to fit a MFSW to a T6 without one then you would need to get the wheel coded in and would also need to use buttons from a T6.
Finding T6 buttons is the most difficult bit to a MFSW upgrade.
Golf mk8 R airbag / maybe others, but not t6.1
T6.1 / Passat B8 / Tcross / … airbag
You must buy a golf R airbag with this steering wheel, and switch wires like @Pauly explain here:

My local mechanic in Ratho Station lets me use his at his garage. I can meet you there and talk you through what to do.
I'm no expert but have done my lights and MFSW with no damage.
In this case you would need to move your MFSW from 2 to 1.
Relocation of the radar from 2 to 1 won't work as it has CP matched with the original Instrument Cluster. You have two options there. Disable CP check and upload correct FEC on your radar( vehicle 1) yourself or replace it altogether...
