Your opinion isn't widely shared on here, but well done on being happy with H4 headlights, it's the cheapest way.

Trucks and cars drive around here like starships during winter and there is no limit to full beams so people can go nuts. I`ll be back in a few months so could get any kits or have it installed there. Is transporter HQ the place to go for headlight upgrades or any other recommendations? Cheers...

Well now who's the H4 one. Sorry, my bad. I can't remember if the low filament went off when hitting high beam on the H4's? If it does then coding would fix that to act like brake light bulbs but brake lights dont stay lit for long so I'd treat a coded H4 the same. OK for flashing or a couple...

I find them adequate with uprated bulbs. I can't justify the extra cost of LEDs. Not even the new THQ ones. But then, I've never driven a car with LEDs so maybe I don't know what I'm missing.

Hi All I have a few mods I'd like to do before I go down the new headlight route, so I thought I'd upgrade my bulbs to these, only trouble is, they've bow thrown an error light on the dash. Do I need anything to correct this? If not, is there a bulb anyone can recommend, as these for over £40.

Pair of T6 standard headlights. £25 (I’ve seen the light ) Inc shipping. Full working order, no cracks or scratches, and I will even throw in some new bulbs that came with my upgrade from THQ because I’m nice like that.

lol. No I appreciate that with the H7 light units, but the comment suggested Peter had used Carista to do it with his H4’s which, assuming they’re like mine, are both high and low beam from the same bulb/reflector. The only other lights in my H4 housing are the DRL and indicator.

It’s not purely the H4 bulbs but the design and relatively small size of the reflector on the T6 that makes them poor. Our Up! has H4s but the reflector is about twice the size and the performance is much, much better than the T6 and no need to consider Up!grades.

I wouldn't recommend putting LED bulbs in H4's. There is plenty of info about why, if you do a search
