My winddeflector strip and 3m tape have arrived this morning so gonna fit this weekend. Did you go over the rain gutters to the far corners of the pop top or cut it in line with them?
Anyone interested in these for free? To save them from the bin..
Pretty sure they’re the VW ones, been on the van from new so 8 years old. Good condition, maybe a bit faded (not sure) and will need new adhesive tape.
Collection from Swindon.
What have I done to my van today? ….Well snapping off a bit of the near side winddeflector with the hot foam brush wasn’t on my bingo card. It’s a gift you just can’t learn stuff like that. Lol.
Not very exciting but my first ‘mod’. Fitted the Climair smoked winddeflectors this morning before I go to work. Look really nice and pretty easy to fit once you know how. Instructions provided weren’t that clear so a quick search on YouTube and jobs a good un!
The Climair WindDeflectors came over the weekend, fitted them earlier, easy to do and I like the look!
Pic isnt great but you know what they look like :D
Brought some winddeflectors from Veedubs…. Reviews seem very positive online for them!
And another can of Gyeon CanCoat ready for a days cleaning and prepping for the winters wet weather!
...parking and I was able to rescue it before it caused damage to itself or anything else.
I'm not asking the converters to fix again. Lost faith somewhat.
How are people sticking flexible solar panels on. Are you putting a winddeflector in front of it? I don't want to screw it in, to avoid...
...is the mechanism that failed? Although I’ve added the extra thing I showed to my SCA I just couldnt see it failing in reality as the winddeflector stops wind trying to lift the roof and the way the strap is gripped (similar to the photo you posted) seems robust.
The post above about an SCA...
Fitted ANOTHER set of Heko winddeflectors.
I have lost one for each of 2 sets (on two vehicles) BUT not on different sides so couldnt even make a pair from two singles.
This is since having a house up a bumpy road and in general bumpy Italian roads. I was already using 4 clips per side...
No and yes!
As i mentioned, the front edge lies where the roof starts curving down and the front edges of the two panels are glued but there is no lip or deflector. I had wondered about the effect of wind, but so far, so good.
