It’s a definite improvement. Didn’t help much on the A12 today going out towards Ipswich though, that road is terrible and the comfort gains around town are not quite so great at motorway speeds on an ancient concrete road seemingly repaired by crews from the back of a truck without stopping...
Completely disagree with this comment we have between 20 and 30 customers a month that are delighted with a quality performance matched spring / shock combination Coil overs are definitely Not for everyone , there are also tons of clients who don’t want to lower their vans. Of course...
I just moved from 2009 caravelle 2.5TDi manual to T6 150dsg generation six.
Love it to bits already but can’t stop to compare it to my old Velle.
Couple of thoughts here:
T6 looks better inside out but:
Front bumper clearance is a lot worse now and some kerbes I never touched before are now off...
I’ve had my van a year from new now and one of the things on the to do list was to inevitably get it lowered but also improve the comfort. Previously on my old T5.1 I went through the whole spectrum of suspension lowering, firstly springs only, then B14s and finally onto ABP air suspension. So...
On reducing body roll, many people have achieved that using thicker ARBs (Anti-Roll bars) and also alternate suspension setups such as Koni shocks and lowering etc. AFAIK VB does not actively manage suspension the way you are stating it, though it is constantly monitoring and ensuring that the...
Hi , the fitting of 20 inch wheels could have a warranty implication if they want to make things really difficult , but , To answer your question fitting lowering springs will definitely void the shock absorber warranty but this really isn't important as the standard shocks are poor any...
It was that specific post I linked to that I referred to, which cleared up the earlier confusion as to whether VB kits used stock shocks, which they don't. I wasn't raising any wider opinion as to which you should go for so I'm not sure what cognitive dissonance would have to do with it. I...
Did you ever get to try the Projekt max low kit?? stuck in the same dilemma between H&R/Koni and them!

I had adjustable because I wasn’t sure how low I wanted to go at the time I had them fitted. Oli at Bognor motors did my B14s and like you, one of the things that attracted me to them was being able to try them before I spent my money, that’s a big bonus for Oli to be able to offer different...
Ok would have expected the bouncing if standard shocks
Our Coil over kit H&R/KONI is streets ahead of all the other height adjust kits and at the moment we have a promo on price so maybe a good time to go for it !!
B4 ?? the only kit running B 4 is the SOLOW kit its a special build...
I bet none of you saw another update coming this quickly after the last one! :slow rofl:
This week at the cave.......
I've helped a T5 California owner with a few odd jobs: Replaced a damaged awning canvas with a new one, fitted a new tap to replace a faulty one and a few other bits and bobs...
Hi Steve,
I would like to thank you for the time you took explaining and sharing your expertise to me/us. Food for thought and never to old to learn and something to think about. This morning they finished, with the arb's mounted, the alignment and weightbalancing - which was 'fun' doing with a...
Ill be talking to mark tomorrow regarding the lift and winch. The lift I will definitely get, but will have to see about the winch.
You said you have done a number of water crossing ranging from 300mm to 500mm I was wondering have you added a breather kit so water does not get into your, gear...
Was std suspension but went to CRS at Cannock and had H&R ARB 30mm diameter upgrade.

Will be good to hear you feelings on the H&R route after trying other favoured setups.
I was taken for a drive in a Kombi with B14's wound down to about halfway and on 19's. I was impressed with them compared to my -40mm springs but i decided to go the H&R Koni route because I have bigger...
Glad you are pleased with the end result, and we could advise you in how to improve your drive and handling on the California.
For me it highlights the importance of test driving the suspension you are trying. As we've always said, only you can decide which is right for you, and the important...
I've finally chosen what I'm going to be fitting to my van. The more I've thought about it, the more the choice became pretty obvious to be honest. From the three setups I've tried there is one that works out clearly ahead of the other two. My choice is......
.......H&R/Koni coil overs.
Why...
