@PartakePepsi yes. It does work with the steeringwheel controls and the dash display is the same as the original head unit.
@Skyliner33 It retains all the original functions and menus including steeringwheel. As for the usb ports I removed the original usb plugs/pcb and fitted the leads that...
I have read every post but I cannot find anybody describing the same problems I am having. Hopefully, someone will have some advice for me.
The van is a 2016 T6 Euro5 T32 LWB 4Motion Startline 140 manual CAAC.
I had the cambelt, water pump and alternator changed on the van by a local garage...
@Pauly is correct. Take it for wheel alignment. They will center your steeringwheel then lock it into position before adjusting your wheels so they line up straight.

The airbag on the plastic startline steeringwheel will fit and work fine on a MFSW. You will however require the correct loom.
ALL VW steeringwheels with the 2 prongs either side will fit also the T6.
Polo golf Passat etc.
EURO6 T6’s will require T6 buttons to work...
Silly question but is your tracking right. Are you pulling the steeringwheel straight to compensate. If you let go briefly does the van track straight.

Thanks for response, it's a bit old thread. So you have swapped loom or buttons? I tried myself today to play with steeringwheel. So find out that loom swap don't help. I have both types of vw golf mk7 steeringwheels. Gti steeringwheel tried different loom, can't get it, looks like...
Ressurecting this thread. Mine has suddenly started this with steeringwheel off centre to the right. Van isn't pulling to left though. Steering was pointing straight up to now. I can't get it into the garage for a couple of weeks so is it still safe to drive?
Hi all. Just need some advice. I bought a t6 California about 6 months ago and noticed the steering had some play in it when I move the steeringwheel about 10-15 mm the front wheels don’t respond. I have checked the steering shaft in the cabin that all moved at the same rate as the steering...
I’ve had it before, when dust is on the key and it won’t start and steeringwheel lock is on. I just force it in that bit further and twist steeringwheel at the same time. First time it happened I ditched the van and walked home. Probably happened 5-6 times since. Might be worth a try.

We removed the outer plastic cover for this shaft and with g clamp squeezed the inner and outer shaft...
i was going to suggest turning the steeringwheel. the steering lock may be slightly jammed and wiggling it one way or another might be enough to free it then can start possibly. The other thing I have no real knowledge but is it possible to temporarily remove the impediments and safe guards...
