Thanks for that information, I had ordered the Bluetooth addapter but hopefully I've managed to cancel the order. Yes, my head unit only has bluetooth for phone calls and message's. Its a another VW money maker.

Some good replies in here I have also noticed this with the 2 T6.1s I borrowed. They both crackled quite badly when the phone was connected to the USB-C port. I think the ultimate fantasy van spec for me would have to have a sunroof, as per my OP I'd like fantasy rear electric sliding windows...
