As above, it's for the 5F unit - radio unit. The lower spec radio is part of the screen.

Looks like the van is lowered - may that explains the ride quality.

When you replaced the crankshaft pulley are you sure the key / keyways were intact and a good fit? Starter fluid has a lower flash point than diesel so it will start with lower compression.
