Yes I ve worked that one out already . I have had my suspension done at CRS performance and it's vastly improved . Just wondered what the 55 wall would look like
A T30 could have the larger 340mm brakes as standard as the van's load capacity has nothing to do with the brake size.
That being said, a 17" steel is a common spare size and would fit over any VW OEM brake caliper. As would a variety of 18" steels.
I don't believe that 255/45/17 is a very...
After all this time, how were these tyres and size in the end. What are you using now? Thinking of moving from 255/45/18 to 245/50/18 - for comfort and to fill a bit more gap. Lowered by 40 mm. T32. Thanks.
I did the switch from 255/45/18 to 235/55/18 recently.
Mine had worn out in no time in the centre and wanted some all seasons. 235 are cheaper and in theory as narrower will give better fuel economy, but circumference is greater so can't rely on the readout 100%. Speedo is nearly spot on GPS...
Hi everyone, looking to sell my spare set of momo wheels and tyres, as I have sold my T6, they are like new. x4
£500 ono, collection.

I went from 20" range Rover wheels with h&r springs down to 18" - I think 25545 tyres and fitted the koni projekt coilovers shocks lowered about 40mm - amazing difference. This also on a t32. If you look through my posts I think there are pics
Yes think raising the coilovers a touch will be the way to go. Just thought this size was quite popular for people from reading the forums but maybe not as low as me!
Hi all. My brother has his set of 4 delivery mileage T6.1 Sportline Alloys on Bridgestone tires for sale.
255/45/18 Bridgestone tyres.
Literally just took off his sportline.
I’ll get pictures up tomorrow
£1500
I do around 30k a year on 20s (April till December) and then 10K over the winter on 17s. Having had 3 transporters and run everything from 16 to 20 wheels I can honestly say I feel very little difference between 235 55 17 and 255 40 20 in regards to ride. I have VW spec coilovers (KW / Eibach...
...through this thread front to back and back to front so many times! The steels I've bought have 245/45/18 tyre's but i see a lot of guys on 255/45/18 and other sizes as well. I have gone for STX coil overs so not massively low and I want to loose the arch gap so what we thinking?
Any advice...
You are right about fitting within the recommendations provided they are generous enough and fitting outside of those recommendation may incur insurance problems following a crash and if serious enough incident will likely be picked up by other authority also. Not only that, it may be unsafe...
Hello, first time poster, long time lurker, please be gentle!
I've owned Gen 6 Caravelle for the last 4 years or so and every year I've swapped out summer tyres for winter tyres on the same wheels. Currently I have my winter tyres on the wheels (they are a 2554518 tyre - the same size as the...
I've popped my tyre, Divanti Dx640 255/45/18 XL on a Sportline alloy. These were on my van when i bought it but because I need to replace it could I do like for like or swop out with commercial load tyres rates C. Any advice welcome.
Do you reckon if I raise my solows up abit I'll get away with it? Still trying to find time to really mess around with it all. But if I'm fighting a losing battle I may be better to rethink and sell them on.
