It’s just a case of using a Solid state relay. (SSR)
Leave the switch on the boiler on.
Break into the Live mains supply Wire to the boiler and feed it through the SSR’s ac switched output, leaving Neutral and Earth wired through as is.
Control the SSR from the switch by sending it 12V to...
Hi, i was given an alpine sub and amp and thought fitting would be the same as most other cars I've had. Reading the posts it seems the switch blue wire cant just be spliced in. can anyone confirm. The amp is a vibe 400.1 micro. I just bought the Vibe fitting kit. Ill be running the live from my...
It's literally a domestic double pole switch that would normally isolate a 230V load like a cooker or hob.
I had indicated it was a 30A switch but having farted around with the leisure setup recently changing the AGU fuse block to a Mega and Midi fuse version I noticed the PV isolator I've used...
@Skyliner33 Sorry to bring up an old thread here on power folding Mirrors: You said you coded your fob so that they close on a short push, as in the video you shared.
I live in Cornwall & wander is this something a Key coder can do or will they need a specific bit of kit?? Many Thanks.
Yes the 12v stuff is all through the PMS3. Frankly I'd like to get rid but I'll live with it for now, at least while I still have the same van furniture. It would leave a big hole to say the least.
Thanks to you (and everyone) for the input. This forum is a great classroom
The brown and red wire that goes to pin 6 of the light switch plug, should this be live or ground? As far as I can tell with my limited knowledge, it looks like it should be ground.
Good to know about that trick. As mine was still in warranty I opted for the piggyback for switchedlive additions as then by unplugging the piggyback technically it is not connected to any vw circuits.
...However I now have a message “automatic headlamp fault” Indeed the auto headlamp function has stopped working. I have unplugged the camera and the auto headlamp works again. I’m thinking a hard wire would be a better plan. Has anyone used their hardwire kit? Where is the closest switchedlive?
You can take the ground from any other of the switches next to your new switch, it is always the same pinout. Not sure if there is a live power (not on ignition) on the others, but I suppose the warning lights switch has one. To be sure I guess you probably should check the cable plans ore...
Yeah, I agree that losing the inlines and having it wired to the fuseboard would make it more low profile and aesthetically pleasing.
I've sent the 12 gang fuseboard back and am gettin a slim 6 gang and will see how it is for space and wiring on Sat. I'll be making a cover to hide it all...
Hi all brand newbie here and now the proud owner of a T5 Leisuredrive Crusader.
I have a green switch on the dash which is live though no idea what it’s for.
Also I have 6 holes drilled at bottom of windows on each side is there something to attach here? Any help appreciated.
Afternoon all,
I know the upper middle row of mini fuses in the internal fusebox are ignition switched.
Does anyone know if there's a slot that will be live when the key is tuned partially and not fully to ignition please?
Hey - I have the same camera and the same problem. I had to turn parking mode off otherwise after 2-3 days the van battery would be flat.
If you connect it to the leisure battery i assume it will just be on 24/7 as that will not have a "switched" live feed to it? Or maybe it will.... I...
When I open the doors, the rear ceiling lights do come on. Also, viewing the live data I can see the doors opening and they also show as open on the dash. If it's the door switches, would that mean all of them are broken?
...main beam relay.
Which is a bit disappointing as I wanted the Spot DRLs on all the time (just like the Headlight DRLs).
So I was thinking I could tap into an ignition switchedlive somewhere in the engine bay to trigger the Spot DRLs.
Can anyone suggest a one to tap into please?
TIA
Deaks :-)
