I can thoroughly recommend the Philips GT200 bulbs for the H4 lights. Just make sure you buy them from an authorised dealer (auto bulbs direct or Powerbulbs) as there are lots of fakes on eBay and Amazon.
Hi,
2x H4 headlights for free.
Have done under 60K on my Van.
The look good without major scratches or stone chips.
Comes with Osram bulbs.
For a little donation into my little ones piggy bank I give away a set of new Philips RaceVision GT200 with the lights.
Collection in Coventry or...
...filament bulb and so they don’t work properly in the reflector bowls and can cause dazzle for other road users as well as sometimes causing patchy light output that doesn’t help the driver.
I find Philips Rally 200 halogen H4bulbs are a big improvement in the Transporter and are road legal.
Hi all,
I am looking to do this upgrade on my T6. Currently got the H4.
Just to confirm, I am looking for a set of headlights that are the 7C2941005 and 7C2941006?
Is it then recommended to swap the bulbs in these before I fit?
Cheers
I assume I got h4 version as its useless in dark mine are halogen version does that fit as replacement?
What this mean “ have 2 pairs of with wired bulb holder and 2 non wired. “
I might go you way soon and if you still got it I will take it if will fit
Have a search for ‘H4 to H7 Upgrade’, there is a massive thread that answers every conceivable question on the subject.
In essence, it’s change the bulbs, fit H7 headlamps or fit LED headlamps. Each has pros/cons and supporters/detractors.
You only need one pair of replacement H7 bulbs.
The best bang for your buck will be to replace the dipped beams. The high beams don't matter as much.
Isn't it revision F and G that has the new DRL holder?
Just checked, yes, F and G...
2018 kombi high line
My father owned it from new and supplied by Swiss vans. never had any damage or anyone touch lights apart from new h4bulbs.
When I put the reg in for headlight bulbs it comes up as h7 fitment.
When stood at front of van looking at passenger. Bulb far left is drl that...
There’s like a million threads on T6 lights on here.
Use the search function and you’ll get all the info you need.
I replaced my crap H4’s with THQ V3’s with LED bulbs.
Huge difference.
There’s now full LED headlights available also
Great post, thank you.
I've just put Nighteye LED replacement H4bulbs in - loads better!
Now my sidelight and fogs look really yellow :D does anyone have suggestions for LED versions? Looks like 501 capless and H11?
Also side note: if anyone is local to Abergavenny with VCDs would like to...
FREE - H4 headlights
Excellent condition, working with working bulbs except the W5W need replacing.
1 month old 200% Osram bulbs.
Collection from St Ives, Cornwall. They'll go to land fill in a few weeks, getting in my way!
Thanks.
H4 headlight are coded so that dipped beam turns off when main beam is turned on. This is because the H4bulb contains both dipped and main beam filaments. If they were both on at the same time for any duration, the bulb would get too hot and blow. I have not experience with Carista, but with...
Something road legal.
Passed a T6 with what was either LED bulbs in standard units or LED aftermarket units the other night… bloody appalling for us coming the opposite direction.
Could barely see the road ahead - and I was driving a modern car with LED headlights!
I’m still on H4 lights but...
I don’t often drive at night but noted that the H4 headlamps are really poor so got some 200% brighter bulbs and fitted them. Will probably still be not great but look brighter in day. Fitted driver side first to check the difference:
Cheers mate, will take a look. Noted on the bulbs. So is the THQ Kit they sell with the H7 LEDs for like 550 not road legal?
Thanks for the recommendation on the Phillips, they have popped up a few times. I will take a look.
Aren't the powers that be trying to get dazzling lights reduced, probably aimed at headlights rather than running lights. As for error's I'm guessing that the current is monitored (probably just a set value) i.e. 7A ok less than 3A error it just depends what the LED takes. Roughly 10% of halogen...
