Perfect! thanks that was one of the locations I had in mind, hadn't considered there being a grommet there already so that makes it much easier. Thanks again

Ours comes in the offside bottom corner under the bumper, is then routed through an existing grommet just same as Squiz describes .

Solar ONLY to charge a Leisure battery

...Red and grey can't plug into each other so I can't get the connections wrong. Wire to battery (under passenger seat) goes through the grommet in the plenum chamber then under the rubber floor to passenger seat base. I do need to mount the MPPT somewhere in the engine bay so it's permanently...

It's easy to spot, down behind the air intake pipe. Comes out near the brake pedal.

...through to the engine bay and drop the black and connect to the chassis somewhere in the cab. This would mean separating the wires and cutting the black short perhaps, before attaching it to an earthing point in the cab maybe?! I'm considering this as the wires through the grommet is very tight.

23mm diameter? Is that including insulation? What’s the wire rated in mm2 or AWG? What current are you expecting it to carry?

What grommet hole did you use to feed the cable through to the engine bay?

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

It got through the grommet but was too big too go through the oem loom hole. I've used the smaller grommet, a very tight fit. Just hope the grommet has fitted back in to protect the cable.

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

The cable is 23mm thick. I've managed to get it through one of the smaller grommets behind the battery. Very tight, hope grommet is in place ok.

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

The red cable is too short to feed through the firewall by itself and then to attach the fuse. I've managed to feed the cable through one of the small grommets, top of passenger wheel, to behind battery. Hope the grommet holds.

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

So i've just about routed the cable through one of the two small grommets that come out behind the battery. Tighter than the ducks verbatim. Be it with a bit of the protective sheaf coming off. Not sure if the grommet will go back in place properly so relying on protective sheaf round the cable...

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

Just realised i can't route the cable through this grommet because the plate has to go back. Back to square one. How to get the cable of 23mm through the firewall behind the battery. The grommets are too small.

The grommet is in place. Is it ok to attach the earth cable straight to this point on the chassis (see pic), no paint scrapping?

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

I've found the larger grommet by removing the plate connected to the scuttle bay. Problem now is the grommet won't stay in place. It's a bit worn, maybe a new grommet will do it but haven't got one. Superglue, gaffa?

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

Hi, i'm trying to install an Ecoflow alternator charger in my T6. The problem is routing the large cable through the fire wall grommets. The cable is too large. Has anyone done this successfully? Is there a larger grommet through the firewall? Thanks!!
