My mate came around last night with his code reading computer. The fault seemed to be linked to a tyrepressure sensor. We tried simply confirming the pressures through the onboard computer but that didn’t work so I inflated all the tyres to the laden pressure weight recommended (there was a few...
These are the changes to activate indirect TPMS (at least for a T6.1):
https://www.t6forum.com/threads/t6-1-tyre-pressure-monitoring-system-activation-indirect-tpms.39359/
Did you try and "uninstalling" it by doing the reverse of installing it?
There is a thread on the forum already with this tyre size and this question…

From reading a couple of posts in there I’d suggest check your tyres’ load ratings too.
...Cross Climate 2 (225/45/R18). I had these running at 56psi (3.9 bar) for about 6 months, as that is what the van settings said to use (tyrepressure sensors that appear on the dash). However, I then got a slow puncture and had to take the van to Pro Tyre. In Pro Tyre they told me that the...
Had a couple of cheap tyres fitted today at Halfords (look ok - in fact quite like the tread pattern - just needed a couple of cheapies to work out if my lifting springs at the back are causing wear on one side - it’s minimal - or maybe I should check pressures more often aka more than once a...
I think I may go for continental, the Hankooks were fitted by vw main agent so I would expect them to fit correct tyres for vehicle.
What tyrepressure do you all use, my wife’s van is a 2023 T6.1 swb
If your tyres are persistently wearing out on the shoulders long before the middle you might want to consider running them at higher pressure for the next set.
Have dropped tyres from 47 to 45 - no difference. Didn’t expect there to be either.
No difference on road surfaces or corners so may be something else other than tyres. Random as.
Nothing has changed on the van so maybe it’s just one of those things that’ll buggar off on its own
...the relevant question spot, then put in all the details of the new tyre as asked then the tyre comparison site will compute the correct tyrepressures for you. Best then to write normal and high pressures and make up another sticky lest you forget or to help garages when dealing with your...
Hi
These are the tyres:
Toyo OPEN Country A28
245/65 R17 111S
I can’t remember what the tyrepressure is at now; would have to check.
The mileage is only low, around 35000 miles.
Yes standard suspension.
Oh, I thought maybe it was just my config but how has tyrepressure warning been overlooked especially how it gives a DTC that's readable over CAN?
Service bongs and probably windscreen washer I can live with but tyrepressure is a big issue.
isnt that the point. Your tyre will tell you your max pressure and Falken tells you a minimum and everything in between is personal preference
my 245/65R17's have a max of 50psi and load of 1090kg
falken says at 40psi a 245/65 is capable of carrying 778kg (T28 700kg)
so personal preference...
Currently I’m driving it empty. Eventually it will have an ovano in.
Do you have the same pressures in all 4 tyres?
I’ll probably start off at 42. They’re currently at 56 because that’s just what it said on the pillar but it looks far too high.
Less contact area with the ground, less friction but i would have thought the main differnece is the 215/60 are running a higher pressure and as they a commercial tyres have a stiffer side wall.
I had a similar experience with the same tyres you listed but in reverse both on devonports so I...
Hi all,
Just bought some 275/35/20 tyres for my T6 T30 camper. Just wondering what pressure ppl use on a T30 with a camper weight conversion? The guys at transporter HQ mentioned it's the perfect size tyre for rubber/comfort on a 20inch wheel for a T30 if your not on a so low setup >100mm drop...
Are you 100% sure that the max pressure isn’t marked on the tyre? I’d be very surprised/shocked if it wasn’t, especially on a quality tyre.
I run my Agilis at 55psi all round. But they are commercial tyres. Not sure about the CC2
...psi individually for each tyre separately.
235 55 R17
255 45 R18 = both the same pressures
both share the same hi and low tyrepressures but one may assume that the printed pressures one high and one low might be appropriated to each individual tyre size. I realise this myself when...
