Happened to me in Heathrow Airport with the engine running and my phone inside. I had to break into my own van. Worryingly it only took a few minutes and no tools other than a T shirt - no damage though. I don’t get out of the van without the keys now.

Did you ever get anywhere with this issue? I get the same error in OBD11 so wondering if I take it the VW garage before 1 year approved used warranty runs out (van is September 2020 so similar age to yours). Thanks!

Sit inside van and lock with key fob, that should deadlock the doors then try and open them all from the inside

Deadlocking means that the doors can’t be opened even from inside. So if you left kids or animals in the van, and something went wrong, they can’t get out, nor would anyone else be able to get them out. So double pressing the fob disables both the interior alarm and deadlocks.
