Yes - soot level DPF regen should continue until the soot level is down to around 8g
Hopefully it will do another proper regen when the soot level gets back up to 30g
What is the ash level?
Has anyone else had a similar issue and has anyone found the problem. T6 everytime it regens the coil light flashes even though it completes the regen, code is P0087 fuel rail/system pressure is too low.
Garage inspected it and fuel pressure isnt low and its running perfectly, no leaks on the...
Hi All,
Looking for a bit of advice… my T6 150PS is constantly doing regens, 3-4 times per tank it seems. With some needing to be forced due to engine light and glow plug light coming on. (Fault code 23967)
Soot levels never exceed 15-20g before it starts trying to regen again.
Now the...
I have a bit of an odd one, not related to my T6 but to my 2017 A6.
Tonight, I have interrupted a regen - this is probably the third or fourth in a row, where the car is idling at 1,000 RPM and the fan runs on when I switch the car off.
I checked measuring blocks on the way home which shows a...
Just keep an eye on the soot values once you have the app running, the closer to 100% the closer to when its gona regen, just dont stop driving until its finished doing its regen.....apparently some "new" vehicles now have a "dont stop driving im regeneing" light that comes on in the dash.
Not something I’d do, injecting extra fuel for the regen’ more than required isn’t good for the fuel economy or the engine / oil.
Carista can force a regen’.
I use a permanently connected device to monitor regen start / finish and grams of soot loading. MS DPF Control, there’s a thread regarding...
Hi, I used the van last weekend and on route to campsite EML came on, felt like the van wanted to regen but engine wasn’t up to temp and I was in slow moving traffic. I scanned van and got fault code P245900 - DPF regen frequency bank 1. I cleared the fault and the EML went off but the fault...
I was forced to stop the van, mid regen, a month ago when late for a meeting, 2 hours later back in the van and within a minute that regen started again with a cold engine and cold water, it surprised me!
I was fed up of that whole DPF thing & not knowing when the bleddy thing was regenerating or not BEFORE I get to my destination. So I spent a few hours (well lots of hours) making this custom device that tells me details about regens & other data & displays it in a way that makes sense to my...
...plug 2 needs replacing. Told ok to drive, awaiting all in warranty approval. Drives fine , start stop still working. I’m concerned that dpf regens won’t initiate with the fault still there. Does anyone know/have experience of this? I have another vehicle to use at the moment fortunately...
Not totally true. My van does a regen when the fuel level is well into the red. Others on here also have commented that their vans also do.
Also mine can start a regen within a minute or two of starting the engine, particularly if the regen didnt finish because the van was left to idle in...
My 2020 6.1 will finish a regen at idle, but I prefer to take her out for a few miles further to let the regen complete at driving revs. When you have to, or are forced to turn ignition off during a regen, the regen should continue the next time you do a journey.
According to my vag dpf app I am...
...expect. I purchased my van (2017 T6 STN BM TDI 2l 150bhp) a few months ago and noticed that just about every drive it was in a state of Active Regen, often bringing up the DPF light eventually. I grabbed a Carista, no fault codes, ever. Got the local garage to look at it because something...
It's nt a good idea to stop the engine when it is doing a regen. However (after talking to a VW Assist guy), if it is doing a regen when I get to my destination, I wait until the van realises I've stopped, it interrupts the regen and the revs drop from the regen 1000rpm to the normal 800rpm then...
