I’ve run mine up the b pillar under the ceiling and out of the grommets that are used for tailgate hinge as I have barn doors- the connectors are held out of the way until I need them for my portable solar panel which I can throw on the roof
Thanks for the insight. I will see what happens with health check and likely new battery from dealer. I am considering solar so will likely ask for a battery maintainer at the same time as that has been mentioned by several people now so seems the way to go.
I've tested numerous DC-DC chargers.
i wasnt overly impressed with the CTEK D250 range - if i remeber i called it "a good safe bet"
i now used the Victron XS dc-dc in both vans,
have a look over here for more stuff you will like. . ...
I’m in exactly the same place Aidan.
I’m thinking to either route the cables through the rear ‘open’ end of the pop top ie not into the interior via a deck gland, securing the cables via my pop top fabric bungee and then through the tailgate hinge bungs using short glands, or directly through...
Im a novice so pls bear with me.
I don't really want to disclose the convertor or the vehicle (vehicle isn't yet advertised on their website, will be Tuesday).
But it ticks all the boxes for us.
I've copied and pasted the basic description of the vehicle from the email we recieved from them...
Ok. Questions, questions.
I specced mine with standard 16’s (Alloys) when I ordered as I always wanted aftermarket wheels. For me , my van spends a lot of time on less than ideal (rough surface) muddy side roads, country lanes and bumped up verges so I wanted something appropriate. I’ve always...
I've gone for the Anker 757 as the best solution in the short term as it's not going to need any technical skills and will do me for my upcoming trips off a mains charge - thanks for the advice
Will pop the solar panels on next year when I've saved up a bit more
Is it possible to route the...
Congrats and welcome to the ownership club
I have a Kombi and have a similar “seaside fish and chips in the rain at a weekend” use case as well as being my daily driver. I haven't installed a second battery and use an EcoFlow Delta Mini which will charge via ignition when engine...
Thank you very much. Moving the fridge is not really an option as it sits on Ovano tray that slides out of the tailgate. I have been in touch with the converters who are sure the cable they installed would be sufficient and they wonder if the 12v socket is damaged. That could make sense as...
Have you seen mine? It was a kombi… but now has a sliding rib bed…..

I'm replacing a PV Logic 100w semi flexible on a Reimo roof, no ridges. The old one died after about 2 years and was bonded straight onto the roof (by the firm that fitted my Reimo popup). It too me several hours to remove it and clean the sikaflex off but that's another story. The new advice is...
We looked at both and ultimately went with the Stealth B2. It's a tiny bit more noticeable from the outside, the Horizon really is the ultimate there, but only if you know what you're looking for really. If you don't, it's still basically completely under the radar. One fo the things that swung...
SPORTLINE T32 DSG CAMPERVAN. BLACK SERVICE HISTORY, usual Sportline spec , grey units , Eber diesel heater , Crx 50 fridge , , Smev cooker , overhead locker wood work top and table, pull out draw under rock and roll bed , led lights with dimmer, rear focal speakers , sterling bat to bat...
So I'm scratching my head!
Is there any reason why I wouldn't mount the solar panel as per the image? Flexi panel with the cables forward into the gland housing, standard roof, no pop top
The cables then enter the roof and I would go across the roof panel and down the drivers B pillar, into...
1) We have gas hob, which we use regularly on day trips for making a brew in a car park or event field. No hookup there, so an induction hob would need a very heavy duty battery/solar system, more complex and expensive than gas.
2) Sink/tap we use when staying overnight. Our water storage is...
