Anybody out there had any dealings with vanalarm system, comes with tracker, geofence set up,on the app,and door alarm sensors,as many as you need, not hard wired but video looks quite good, seems a good price for what you get..
AF’s quote was over £1200 with the tracker, they wouldn’t insure without it. Current insurers offer a discount for certain trackers but have to admit I’ve an irrational aversion to trackers having had one fitted in a company vehicle for 10+ years and seeing them used for nefarious reasons!
...depending on all the factors. Mine is underwritten by Ageas so maybe they could try them too for you. Possibly massively more expensive which is why they didn’t mention it.
I believe AF do their own self-fit tracker for a fairly reasonable price so maybe that’s worth a look too. Good luck.
Thanks mate, how did you find communication with this company the fitter and customer service, it's good that they are saying fitting with 1-4 working days
JustKampers last year said I needed to call them and couldn’t just renew, when I rung they said the underwriter now needed a tracker installed or I couldn’t renew, cut a long story short it wasn’t cheaper with the tracker and ended up renewing with the same people (got quotes elsewhere and...
Adrian Flux insurance gave us 2 quotes, one with a tracker and one without. With a tracker worked out about 200 quid cheaper with a tracker supplied by them. Easy to set up and you just need to hide it in the van.
We can do a meta track alarm immobiliser and tracker but to be honest nothing wrong with the factory alarm on a T6.1 and we can wire this into the MetaTrak immobiliser and tracker
Very unlikely he would have fitted another immobilizer? Yes it has a tracker and I have had the van for four weeks..I'm not sure if the previous owner had this problem for long.
Will keep an eye out up in Cumbria, don’t give up hope of it being found just yet.
Had 3 vehicles stolen over the years, all found and returned undamaged, no Trackers etc fitted
...anyone fitted the Deadlock Pro+, or is it a waste of money...
I live in Aberystwyth and Metatrak provided Meta Trak S5 Deadlock PRO | GPS Tracker, OBD & Engine Immobiliser details...
They'll come to me and fit the Metatrak deadlock pro with 1 yrs subscription for £768.95 or £1,068.95 with 3...
I had a scorpion S5 tracker and Ghost2 fitted to my T6.1 last year and both been faultless.
Not sure we're your at but I used Mark from Safe and sound in Leeds. He fits most brand and his help and advice were second to none.
Originally I wanted an S5+ plus solely for the remote immobilisation...
Just spoke to AF, was an ok quote..literally everyone wants us to get a tracker fitted..
Comfort just said we won't insure you because we don't have a sink or hob in the vehicle which i thinks abit mad!
When I spoke to Adrian Flux they insisted on a tracker (that they supplied) or they wouldn’t insure me..
Their quote was miles off anyway so I went elsewhere.
I’m sure these companies have their reasons but it’s difficult to see the logic when you read about people’s experiences
Hi Dan.
Where insurance is concerned, never say never and never say always, but usually an insurer will either require a tracker be fitted as a condition of cover or they won't be bothered whether one's fitted or not. In my experience, it's unusual for an insurer to offer a discount for having...
