...I've been reading recently, it is probably already in a shipping container.
However - one last ditch try. Sometimes they park it a few miles away for a few days to see if it has a tracker on it first. Maybe worth driving down some cul de sacs and quiet roads to increase the chance of retrieval?
I'm somewhat similar with the Caravelle but so far have not had a tracker mentioned as a condition. It's certainly something I'm considering given the value.
I have a t6 with the spec (can't remember term trendline, somethingline).
Does the vehicle have a tracker fitted as standard, but its just not enabled by VW unless you pay?
I find it wierd that the VW satnav seems to "know" of delays/congestion. So i suspect vehicle has a data connection.

...car now so we drive the van every day - about 40ish miles between school drop-off/pick-up and getting to work. We drove it last yesterday (both of us have a rare WFH day today). No tracker!
We're going to try and get a readout asap, but we're only going by the display at the moment (all we...
I'm insured with Comfort (Aviva). They didn't require a tracker, not sure if there would be a discount if I had one fitted, but weren't interested unless it was a Thatcham anyway. For my own peace of mind, I bought a cheap one by Streetwize (Halfords, Toolstation) which works with an adequate...
Result.
Caravan Guard quoted me £343 with a Thatcham Cat1 tracker fitted, or £358 with a Cat1 alarm.
After some research it seems that the T6 Highline comes with a Cat1 alarm from the factory.
So a quick phone call and an extra £15 to Caravan Guard and I'm covered for another year for £291 less...
To be fair the thieves would already have known.
So many of our work vans have the professionally installed and well hidden trackers defeated in minutes. This was before you could buy gps jammers for a couple of quid.
Immobilisers don’t seem much of a problem either when we used to have those...
Bizarrely, insurers aren't usually interested in immobilisers - only in trackers - and they'll specify the minimum Thatcham category required rather than a specific make/model. Cat S7 trackers are good; Cat S5 trackers are better; Cat S5+ trackers are Cat S5 trackers with remote immobilisation...
Was this a security / stolen vehicle tracker or a version that monitors your driving standards / hours using the vehicle like given to new and young drivers?
Thanks anyway appreciated. You couldn’t give me both part numbers could you?
I’ll be getting a tracker from you in the next few months, just need to sort some other bits on the van first
