...cover back on you need to unclip the unit from ceiling (again use trim tool and prise off) and clip the cover back in place from the inside out.
Small gap in there, with all the SOS and light button cabling but would be a sunglasses holder or storage area if designed right.

Might be wrong (I literally have no idea) I keep reading it wont work with my assisted driving (ACC?), Parking sensors etc?
Looking for a professional installer not DIY.
Thanks. no nothing else weird at all. Everything else is working fine and no other warning lights, other than the engine management warning came in when it stalled first time. But went off immediately after restart and hasn’t come back on.
I’ve had the same issue since December, 4 visits later still waiting. Had the same as you and after chasing they eventually changed the SOS module only then to be told my GPS aerial in the drivers door mirror needs to be replaced as they need that to connect to the sos module.
Went in Saturday...
Thanks, I’ve literally just got mine back Friday, mine was the 5F infotainment unit was faulty, I was told the part was £3.5k!! But I’ve not paid anything for it to be replaced as although it’s well out the warranty (20 plate) I’ve said it should last the life of the vehicle as it’s not...
Hello people,
Just recently bought my 2020 startline T6.1 and I'll be looking to get it to a level of going camping in it which I am very excited!
Annoyingly I have encountered an issue with my head unit and the Android auto system. The issues are...
1) having no sound whilst playing music...
...of that now. when they told me the issue in the garage I nearly fell off my chair because they said it would cost nearly £1000 to replace the sos unit (going off memory, could have been just over £1k).
I only went there as I wanted a software update to listen to music whilst driving with...
...SW update for the Discover media 5F infotainment module that VW released about 4-6wks ago.
My 20’ van had no wireless Android auto / random SOS dialling & loads of other irritations which this has solved all issues I was experiencing
My units SW version is in picture below it was 156 now 278
Thank you - and would you advise getting the outstanding issues fixed with VW first?
Apologies I have no idea how the "system" works, all I know is they tell me the boot delay issues are caused by the SOS module -and an independent VW specialist said it was more likely the "5F" module
Maybe because it is an Australian model and we don't have DAB or SOS it is not
connected.
I have looked everywhere and no other connectors for it to plug into.
Thanks
...us on here who've had a VanHaven digital dash with same issue
I do wonder if that's the issue, with the setup maybe? Do you have an issue with slow boot?
Mine got "fixed" with new infortainment 5f and sos module by VW.... however, 5 months on, it's happened again. Got it booked in with VW...
