...and the thicker ply. That's the floor i think it was Howdens, we were recommended this type by our friends conversion shop. The carpet lining we done sound deadening & thermo both by Dodo and stuck on. Then i think we put the roll of insulation in all the gaps ready for the carpet to be done
Quite like the Camouflage Screen CoverI. Mine is Black but would prefer camo for better stealth and background merging. I have added silver foil type bubble wrap under mine for increased thermal insulation.
...deaden / insulate in some of the panels. I need to get a trim tool to check in the roof.
I was looking to get the dodo mat deadening and insulation kit as I think it will probably do a much better job. If I pulled out all that loft insulation stuff it's obviously going to leave crap stuck to...
I have one roll of insulation left from my conversion - I purchased this from Kiravans, and it retails at £44.70.
The roll is still bagged up and has been unopened since it arrived.
It would require collecting, although very light.
£30 and it is yours!
...vapour but of course then the inside is cool which some like and others do not. Some camper owners do spend a lot of time and effort with insulation. Not keen on porous insulated because it is a pain when wet and can and will form mould.
I guess with windows during the day if one could...
That's mine which is a light mild steel angle from Wickes covered in pvc tape for insulation on the off chance I catch a battery post 🤠 as I bolt it to the factory seatbase.
If you think about it the seat and rails will keep the battery trapped under the seat... hopefully.:geek:
We have the insulation covers on the front windscreen and windows and just ordered the pop top insulation cover
We have not slept in the pop top yet and I don’t think I could until the high summer ?
I know our Camperking is not well insulated like others but at 3-5am you certainly can feel the...
...is bonded to the metal and will therefore deaden it to an extent. Been doing it this way over 15 years and not once had a problem. I think people overthink insulation in vans, don't forget that half of the van is not insulated (windows). It's your call, I'd rather know the floor is fixed properly
They are all attracted to the plastic sheathing on modern wiring - well known. It began when the insulation went from oil based to vegetable (soy ) based. Mainly rats, mice, squirrels but no reason why foxes will not have a chomp as well.
Yep! Although that makes sense, fridges have a bit of insulation so with the door closed the temperature shouldn't fluctuate as much. The fridge isn't on, fyi!
...maintenance - but so long as you take each wire out individually and make sure it's insulated before you move the other one the risk of any short is minimal. A simple method might be to temporarily attach something like standard insulation connector block to the bare ends - don't just rely on...
....ain't that the truth !! Seems like Ed Millibund is intent on making my Shepherds Hut have an EPC rating of C or above !! Looks like my chocolate box Sandstone holiday cottage will need cladding in exterior insulation too.
That's my retirement fooked !
Although my camper had insulation installed it was not done with an enthusiastic touch. So I sound-deadened and re-insulated, having to make access panels on the kitchen unit side. I now run the heater a little less in cold weather but i can understand converters not insulating. However, my...
