    Wing mirror post

This might be useful to anyone wanting to repair a bent or broken post for an electric folding door mirror. I took a punt and bought the this post from eBay and I can confirm that it is well made and fits perfectly. Much cheaper to buy this and take the mirror apart. I followed a YouTube video...

    Genuine folding mirrors

Hi all I have a T6 with heated electric mirrors, does anybody know what genuine parts are required to convert these to power folding, I know the switch on door card needs added, and I'm guess new bases with motors+control modules etc? If anybody had the part numbers would be great. Thanks Phil

    Folding Mirrors

Can someone enlighten me on why my folding wing mirrors have stopped working when I lock the van and off of the door card switch. I’ve toggled on head unit in setting but still no joy? Has anyone had a similar problem? 21 plate 6.1

I probably go for the aftermarket version. I saw in one of Roberts pots that aftermarket one has better functions than the factory install

2017MY mirror fold on the key

Hi Guys I have a Sept 2016 registered T6 with factory powerfold, i have tried changing the coding in the door modules from A/B1 to A/B3 and enabling comfort function in BCM but they will not fold when locking. I have read somewhere that the 2017 MY cars need a hardware change-what is it that...

    Folding Wing-Mirrors on the key?

That sounds correct to me. Yes, but you need to test its functionally on the bench to make sure what additional wiring/hardware is actually required. See another example by @Evgeni https://www.t6forum.com/threads/t-l-powerfold-mirrors-not-as-they-should-be.16953/post-234147 You should have it...

66 plate auto folding mirror conversion

I’m thinking of converting my van to have auto folding mirrors. They presently fold on the drivers door switch only. I’m familiar with the possible options for achieving this but need confirmation of the MY number. I think (being 66 registered 26/9/2016) it’s MY17 and requires hardware. Can...

Folding mirrors stopped working on key fob

Relearning auto-roll up function of your door windows should fix your issue. Next step would need to be to switch away from key button holding to one touch button press for mirror folding.

Getting ready for winter. -- --

You could make your own to suite your own particular needs from silver bubble wrap. From a large home store B+Q sort of place or on line. You could add ties/fixing points mirror covers/ears or just fold some in the door jams. One point on the latter, just make a fold that exits the door jam...

    Door-Mirror Direction Fault [Resolved]

Hello all. 2018 T6 Highline. Non-Folding Mirrors but heated glass + electric movement of the glass. Offside works fine. Nearside. All directions, up and right don't work and left or down equal left until there is no more travel in the motor. Any ideas? I had similar in a car many years any...

MY18 ex rac van: One touch windows work but not folding mirrors

Not entirely sure but I don't think MY18 supports mirror folding from key fob without changing door modules but I might be wrong

[Guide] Fitting door mirror repair mounting

Hi Andy, apologies for the slow reply I completely missed your post! If it's not a power folding one then it's doable without cutting or unpinning however I *THINK* you have to completely remove the mirror from the van; that's definitely how I did mine. It's been a while so I may have forgotten...

    Folding Mirrors stopped working

Hi All, My T6.1 21 Reg highline based camper has the folding door mirror function and it was working. But it’s just stopped? Still works on the internal door rotary knob. But not on second press of keyfob as before. The vans only 2 months old. Has anyone had this happen or know of a...

TravelinLite Power Fold Mirror retrofit 2016 Shuttle

Right, I've just recently bought the aforementioned kit to upgrade my current T6 heated mirrors to the power fold versions: T6 15-20 Electric Power Folding Mirrors (upgrade kit) I consider myself pretty handy but the instructions provided are pretty poor in my opinion. PDF Viewer...

Startline vs highline from day one

Not sure if they work like that from factory - my van went from factory to dealer to convertor before I even saw it, so the convertor may have done some VCDSing on my behalf. I've certainly not changed anything. Yes, you can also use the twiddly knob on the driver's door to fold the mirrors...

Disable headlights and wing mirrors automatically coming on when unlocking a T6

The mirrors on a T6 do not fold and unfold on locking. They fold on comfort lock (long press) and don't unfold until you put the ignition on. Sounds like you have aftermarket folding mirrors. There will be a module somewhere, either in the door or under the dash which is controlling the...
