I spoke with a pro egr delete guy called Matt at UKCC auto techs. I'm still not convinced it's the best idea, but he was sure it wouldn't have anything other issues with adblue or dpf as he says they are unrelated. Said he's done 100s. Sales pitch most likely . I'm Brighton based

What's the legality of having it done in the UK ?

In fairness if he's been asked to fit a turbo then he's not gonna notice much . Did he calibrate it and check for faults do you know? Or simply delete existing fault codes ?

With all the really useful info on here I think I am definitely going to go for EGR blanking and delete for my T6. Any suggestions for where to get it done in Sussex?

I've just been querying the same thing... Had a similar response from dark side but a bit cheaper. (Presume as it's a 150 CXFA) "The EGR Delete Kit would need to be installed, we have it listed here - £185.00+VaT - VW Transporter T6 2.0 TDI EGR and Cooler Delete Kit Fitting Costs - £300+VAT...

Good morning all regarding the quote , annoyingly one of my fleet vans i purchased had what i believe to be adblue delete, the countdown is ---- , how is this done , is it mapped out and how easy to reverse this . van is due mot soon and also don't really want it deleted for legal reasons

So my van has a Pendle remap. The EGR valve has died. The garage says they could just do a delete but it’d need mapping out but they can’t do it as my van is already remapped. Is there now way round this or do I have to get a new EGR?

Yeah thats what it does, i think its a left over from MQB cars (similar build platform) where lots of functions are controlled by the infotainment, perhaps someone at VW forgot to delete that or make it unselectable

when you had the AB deleted, what did they do with the DPF? - open up and turn into through pipe? and have you still got a working EGR?

Yes believe you have to map the DPF out, will do this when they delete egr and remap the engine.

I've had EGR (internals), adblue, dpf delete with no emission or smoke issues at MOT test…. runs superb
