Yes, that is exactly what I've done. put a 180 ohm resistor and it works. I've seen that the button opens the tailgate even if the car is locked. I'm not aware of the difference between lock and safe-lock

The spec is great. Price is a little high for private. I think the biggest worry is the 180 engine, which at this age are prone to oil useage.

Sounds like a T5.1 BiTurbo 180, ... Which had some issues. How much oil is it using per 620miles (1000km)? And what's the engine code,? Take a pic of the build sticker under the dash.

Not cheap. In the region of £130 to £180. But it has transformed our usage in Autumn/Winter/Spring. It's like having a hightop. Sound, wind, rain, cold, all blocked.
