    OEM swivel

Can any one help with advice regarding fitting an OEM swivel seat base to a heated captain seat with electric lumbar support and height adjustment if it’s possible to do so? Also are the OEM swivels universal? Thanks

    Team ex-AA van

Not sure mate....Only thing I don't like about our van is the double swivel. It's handy don't get me wrong and we do use it, but it's a total faff to use, isn't adjustable and you can't just walk through from the front seats to the rear. My good lady doesn't care for the extra height and not...

    Dellmassive`s Camper Van Adventure

At 6ft tall I have always had my seat on its lowest setting, so adding the RIB swivel with the packers to get over the handbrake added 43mm. I can just about live with this extra 43mm if the seat can still adjust all the way back down, which it would not do without trimming. Still feel like my...

    Driver seat height adjustment

OEM seat swivels and height adjustment are not compatible so not available to order from VW in a new vehicle. Many of us use factory seats with height adjustment and fit after market swivels. This just means that there are some limitations to what height (lower positions) the seat can be swivelled.

Sold Driver side OEM swivel seat base frame

I have for sale my Drivers side OEM swivel seat frame and seat plastics taken from my 27000 mile 2017 T6. I changed to a height adjustable seat frame because my kitchen layout doesn't allow the seat to swivel all the way round. This won't work on the passenger side because it only swivels to the...

    Factory swivel - swap

Right, sorry I misread the question. I thought it was just about swapping the seats. That makes more sense! Yes, the swivels are in the seats. I believe someone on here tried to retrofit the swivel to a different seat but not sure if they were successful

T6.1 Seat Height - will adding swivels increase height?

I have the factory fit front swivel seats in my 72 plate kombi van that are non height adjustable, is there anyway i can convert to get more height as I could do with them being 25mm to 50mm higher for my long legs?

Guidance on a possible 200ah setup?

My setup is a bit unique so difficult to confirm 100% and here's why... I have a Jennings "lowered" seat base designed to allow a swivel base to be fitted without adding height. I think this is about 30mm lower than normal. I then have some seat adapters that allow VW Tiguan (and other VAG car)...

T6.1 Seat Height - will adding swivels increase height?

Raising shims could work. Something like this: (you will need to check bolts etc all fit as its meant to be used with a swivel I believe) https://www.kiravans.co.uk/products/raising-shims-for-vw-t5-passenger-side-seat-swivel

    Factory swivel - swap

Factory swivels are in the seats, thats why you lose the height adjustment. I have read on here that it is possible to retro fit.

    Factory swivel - swap

I took out my height adjustable base and swapped it with a factory swivel. Pretty straight forward. Not many bolts. Remove the seat base 4x bolts, back rest 4x bolts and swap. The seat base only uses two bolts though and has a bit that slides in instead for the rear ones. Plastics are different

Changing OEM Swivel base for OEM height adjustable base?

Yeah, you can do that, unbolt the swivel and replace with the height adjuster.

    Factory swivel seat mod.

Does anyone have a full list of part numbers required to add the factory swivel function to a pair of drivers and passenger captain seats? I realise that I'll lose height adjustment, and some plastic trim will also need replacing. Vehicle is a 2018 Kombi, with grey Simora pattern seats.

    Help with seats

Have you tried places like T6cotswold Parts in Evesham? they might take the whole lot and give you two captains seats in exchange or for only a small amount more ££ from you? granted you probably wont get as good a price as a private sale but might make life easy? could probably swap them on a...

VW / Audi seats with armrests?!

Exactly, I think it's the lack of height adjustment that is my main issue - meaning it gets uncomfortable on longer journeys. I looked at lower seat bases, but then also like the idea of more adjustable car seats too!

Swivel over battery; something doesn't feel right

Sounds like you've been had in the net. I'm guessing we are talking OEM swivel because you loose the height adjustment from your seat with this option. There is no difference between seat clearance with the OEM swivel and non swivel seats. Has he done a straight seat swap? Were your seats...
