Just don’t buy a second hand unit as most are not compatible, if you want to go down this route then definitely speak to one of the companies that offer cracking for the MIB3 and work out how much it’s going to cost you first !
Do you have factory fitted second battery ?
Most extra/not standard in vans equipment is supplied from additional fuseboxes, the main ones are either side of the dash fusebox, if you have them you will see vertical rows of fuses either side of all the horizontal ones below/beside the gear lever
yes I can still do them
Most of the details are here

In away for a couple days but feel free to pm me next week if you would like to take it further
Climatic vs climatronic, different system running different equipment
No doubt there is a way to fit it and prob get it operational/semi operational but its going to have errors when it doesnt sense the correct equipment connected to it, sounds like an expensive test if your not confident...
Apparently they leave the factory as a standard van and then abt fit the electric running gear but can’t imagine it would work out much cheaper than just buying a van unless your planning to put something a bit different into it ?
For what van ?
VW started calling the multivan a T7 but now it seems to be for the upcoming new transitporter model
Last time I looked around it seemed to be vehicle specific sections within larger forums
Halogen headlights have manual range with the dial on the dash next to the rotary light switch
LED headlights have automatic range that is controlled with a separate control module that uses two level sensors on the front and rear
To answer your question its a separate system thats only used...
I have successfully swapped them but they are a pain in the ass
You have to spread them from behind to release the barbs so you do mark/stress the plastic but you dont see it when its refitted
In a similar situation i just run the engine every 1 or 2 days to keep it topped up, its surprising how the engine batt can go down just from opening and shutting of doors etc while camping
