Hi,
I have been working on a spec for my electrics and plugged the numbers / spec into vunked to try and confirm battery life etc. I had a chat with vunked and they were very helpful.
Would really appreciate it if anyone can provide some feedback on my proposed set up before I start buying all...

T6 Highline SWB 102 Acapulco Blue Tailgate x2 Keys, 5 seats/belts. Private Seller
Professionally converted by Sherwood Campers in Ollerton. Happy to show all invoices for the professional conversion. We bought the van new from VW van dealership and had it converted to the spec we wanted. Full...
It was never planned but yesterday we purchased an Opus Trailer camper.
Never thought I would own a trailer but it's fantastic build and ideal for our family needs.
It comes with a hook up and leisure battery setup, but I need to adapt this quickly as we camp offgrid without hook up the...
@The Flying Scotsman
Is the alternator charger as simple as they say, just connect the positive to the battery and an earth
Did you put it on the main van battery or on the leisure battery connections
We’re did you place the box in the van and route the cable
Thanks
I use it for my offgrid240v. Run kettle, air fryer etc on it. I've only just rewired my van to include an invertor. The state of the vans electrics when I got it, it made sense to just buy and all in one to get me through the first 12 months before I figured out the full setup I wanted.
Similar to my set up Wayne. Same LB and I use a delta 2 for 240v. That’s why I didn’t fit an inverter I wanted to keep the power in my LB so I could stay offgrid for longer.
I can now fast charge my delta 2 with my 800w alternator charger. As well as use a suitcase solar panel.
I’m really...
This is the ultimate no expense spared OffGrid Campervan, just read this list of features and find one better equipped, this van is very special to us and we'd be happy to discuss why we built what we did and why we are now selling it. It started off as a Camperking conversion we purchased new...
Think carefully if you actually need the mains - these days a solid LiFePo install and staying 12v/USB may be all you need.
Any mains device that is a heater is, as @Sim60 has already pointed out, a very different thing and a very significant load indeed. It's not impossible to do (several...
Our new offgrid van will have the Clayton LPS with beefy solar.. no gas, except in the stuff we bring if we decide to. So with that in mind I am wondering whether kettle duties are now better served via a low wattage 240v kettle, or the induction hob? From what I can tell, the induction hob is...
Cheers I was tempted by the 160 but knowing I may also then need to replace B2B I may need spare funds towards that!
Also concerned with cable lengths and positioning so the 105 should give me more options, would be nice is a smaller variant comes available in time
We mainly just run fridge and...
In fairness we now take out a Bluetti AC180 (90Ah) power bank which does the 'heavy lifting' in the awning, leaving my Roamer 230Ah to sit in semi retirement in the van. Saying that it does look after 2 compressor fridges and all the van electrics, wifeys hairdryer and straighteners in the van...
Inverter recommendation for 240v 1.65amp load (Bosch ebike Battery Charger BPC3400)
I've got an ebike coming this week and would like to be able to charge it offgrid. It has a 750Wh battery.
I'll post a picture of the charger.
I like tech and shiny things.
I've recently upgraded and rewired my van and in doing so have introduced some tech bits to allow to remote monitoring and control.
Interested in what others have in place.
Currently I have.
Renogy shunt 300 and One core system for battery, solar and overall...
I've got 1, love it. WiFi connection is a game changer for me with my use case. I have it buried under the bed so with the WiFi/Bluetooth I can turn it on.
I use it as my offgrid240v (I have a hard wired extension lead) and I also have a 20A leisure battery charger I plug in to top up the van...
Do you know your usage exactly from previous experience or is this a new adventure? What do you need/want the EHU for and do you really need the air fryer?
If you don’t need 240v I’d recommend not bothering with the EHU element and invest in a better off-grid solution. Being free of EHU...
I run a mixture of both. Leisure battery with a 1000w invertor to run the starlink and charge a Jackery when needed.
I have a Jackery 1000 v2 with a 20 amp charger to my leisure battery. But have also run a mains extention lead to run starlink when needed.
I have an unusual setup but I can...
