Hi @AdamT which slot was it? where did you get the card / download from? I'm thinking if can I activate App Connect and replace my starting to fail digitiser screen I may not have to spend $00s on a stereo upgrade!?

I needed to know which slot was sd1 as I had bought an sd card to activate app connect and the instructions said It had to be inserted in sd1 . I wanted to be sure of which slot it was incase something went wrong by using the wrong one ! All sorted now …. App connect activated

Forgot to mention you’ll need to do the screen replacement first as it needs to be fully operable to carry out the app connect activation ! :)

Thanks for that, I've tried it with engine running, and with a mains battery charger connected to the starter battery to ensure the Ablemail charger is active. Getting a bluetooth connection isn't the issue. The suggestion from Ablemail is that it is an incompatibility with the latest version...

Go to the menu and scroll to App-Connect. Then you should be greeted with a page that asks you to connect your phone. Just to confirm, you’re plugging the iPhone lead into the USB port and not a charger plugged into a 12v socket (yes, really had this happen lol)

FYI - and may be of interest.....I had just booked in with VW to have app connect activated on my 66 plate highline. The day before it was due to be done VW rang to warn me that my van after activation will not work with apple devices, ok for android but not apple. My wife and I both use iphones...
