DPF Regen every 50Km. Excessive Oil consumption CXEB 150kw

Just a graph from Carista DPF Data and my Oil Consumption spreadsheet. The graph was data collected on a journey down the M1, Sheffield to Leicester J21, cruise control at 70mph constant speed, but slightly hilly. Oil measurements at the same parking place.

throttle position and oil in the throttle

The engine is hot, the throttle is in the fully open position when the ignition is off and some oil is visible. My fuel consumption while accelerating has increased excessively for a long time, but there is no problem while driving at a constant speed. Also, I have to press the gas pedal 4-5 cm...

    EGR insufficient flow repetitive fault

Can’t really tell if the oil consumption is excessive unless there is a certain quantity over a certain mileage.

    T6.1 - DPF Failure at 30,000 miles?

Sounds like it’s either being driven hard or there’s an issue with the fueling. More fuel especially if running excess fuel will quickly clog the DPF. Maybe check for injector failure. You haven’t mentioned oil consumption?

    T6.1 - DPF Failure at 30,000 miles?

It certainly isn't driven hard, if it is then it's down in the low 20's which is worse than my Mk4 R32 used to get! Haven't noticed excessive oil consumption, but if those figures aren't normal (I just assumed they were with the conversion weight) then I'll get that looked in to as well.

    Oil Use. What's 'normal'?

I just added 500ml to mine after 6500 miles. That doesn't feel excessive, neither does your slightly higher usage. These engines do have a documented oil consumption issue, but people suffering that tell of litres of oil consumed in one or two thousand miles.

    CFCA Anxiety

The biggest issue with your engine and its very well documented and is that the egr allegedly can break down and send metal particles into the engine causing excessive bore wear. This then leads to large oil consumption like litres between oil changes and eventually engine replacement at...

Forcing DPF Regen. EML light flashing, Limp Mode

Hi I've had that done, cost £200. But my problems are all around excessive oil consumption generating soot in the DPF, so any cleaning is only temporary.

    T6 2.0 TDi 104 ps - Repeated EGR fault - Darkside Developments

Hi, No experience with Darkside but they seem to be highly recommended. If you are going down eliminating the EGR valve it needs to be mapped out so you don’t get any warning lights. And fit blanking plates so no hot gases are entering the EGR cooler. As you know if the EGR cooler breaks down...

    Oil Use. What's 'normal'?

...and when I was changing the oil at the weekend, I found that the sump plug was leaking and there was enough oil covering the undertray and chassis members that the half a litre I replaced escaped via the sump plug rather than the exhaust.

    DPF remap - MOT risks?

I doubt that deleting / mapping out the DPF and / or EGR valve will resolve the problem of excessive oil consumption.

    T6.1 - DPF Failure at 30,000 miles?

I have a 180PS CFCA, the MPG hasn’t noticeably changed since going from a stock Kombi to full camper conversion.
