CFCA then 180 Bi-Turbo ( is that the EU5 with no adblue?) +++++ could be worth a quick look here: https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/Blog/20-bitdi-engines-what-to-know/ Common Problems The Transporter CFCA engine suffers with a problem with the EGR cooler (Google search CFCA EGR...

Oil Pressure warning CFCA (I know)

I hope you don’t have the issues associated with CFCA . It would be unusual to have one of these engines that didn’t have problems . My 5.1 BiTDi which I had from new and FMDSH had no end of issues. Run as many tests as you . A compression test will show the state of the bore wear.

    2016 180PS Bi-TDi CFCA engine failure

It's easy to fit yourself. If you get a spare EGR connector and put some effort in with the correct loom tape you can hide the device and the wiring and it'll look OEM so no problems at MOT or inspection ;)

    2018 CXEB 150PS reliability

CXEB is the 204 EU6 bitdi engine 2016-2019. Then it was changed to 199ps CXEC. .... CFCA was the previous EU5, engine from the T5.1. ie no adblue.

    Oil filler cap

By my reckoning, seeing as Ad Blue came in 2015, so there shouldn't be any CAAA,CAAB,CAAC,CFCA engines used beyond 2015. Not sure why they are listed as 2020, unless they continued in non European markets until 2020?

Glow plug 1 fault P0671 part numbers and favorable brand?

Sorry, I meant what's the exact engine code - found on configuration sticker under dash by steering column, or on service booklet. Would be something like CAAA, CAAB, CAAC, CAAD, CFCA, CXGA, CXGB, CXHA, CXFA, CXEB, etc. Unfortunately they all are 2 litre engines.

    - 204ps Bi-Turbo CXEB T6 Engine & Turbo problems -

Are the CFEC (T6.1?) 199ps motors a safe buy? You’d hope the evolution from the T5 CFCA through to a 2020+ model CFEC and years of learning t would be sorted now.

How to know what's a good price when buying your first VW Campervan?

Thanks. I know if you look hard enough you will find fault with anything, however the CXEB engine still seems to be considered problematic with regards to pistons and piston ring issues causing high oil useage and requiring engine rebuild to rectify. Lots of posts online and a very ggod video...

    Euro 5 engine.

In just whacking bits and bobs on, hoping to fleece emissions tests rather than actually designing a new ICE engine that easily passes them (like Mazda did) I wonder if VW also chose to replace metal parts with plastic to save the profit margin. ICE doesn’t have to be dirty. Manufacturers are...

    180 bi-turbo - New engine time - DPF / EGR questions

Not sure how the EGR operates temperaturewise in CFCA engine but T6 EU6 (AdBlue) engines close the EGR (no exhaust recirculation) when it's cold. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/t6_measured-winter-specialities.46804/post-620366

    Healthy 180 CFCA owners?

I’m just curious how many ‘Healthy’ 180 CFCA owners are out lurking on the forums? I am somewhat relieved, and cautiously optimistic that our 180 (EGR revision D) is currently in good health at 92k with little to no oil usage between services. But, I’m sure like many others, we have...
